This song came up in a playlist I was listening to the other day. I’d never heard it before but I instantly knew it was Louis Johnson on bass. He truly is the master of tasteful, groovy slap playing. Great cover and great lesson, thank you

hi Hobbit :) Glad you like it...cheers!
What an amazing smooth very clean bass thumbing. You rendition is spot on. Wow I hadn't heard this song since the 80's and of course I might have knew the bassist on this is non other than the great one himself, Mr. Louis Johnson. His playing is so incredible. Thanks for your excellent rendition.

Such a cool baseline. First time I hear it, I was thinking to myself, “I hope Greg did a video on this, and I was pleasantly surprised!” I may be a little in over my head on this one as a late beginner, but I think I can do it

hmmm...maybe? Give it a try. I think it's a synth bass part originally, so you can pretty well play it however you want. Thank! :)

Very nice but I think all the parts are not in slap style... There is also finger style, isn't it?
