The Four Tops - Reach Out I'll Be There [BASS COVER] - with notation and tabs

Музыка

One of my absolute favourite Motown tunes here. The bass is just so undeniably cool, and I've always wondered about who's idea it was to come up with all the slash chords. Like in the chorus, you have to think the tune was originally written just simply Bb - Ebm. I really want to believe that Jamerson took one look at that and went "nah - it's Bb - Ebm/Bb now!!!" Anyone know? Is there a story there? It's just such a bold move but it really makes the song in my opinion.
Anyway, hope you enjoy!! Have a great weekend, everyone.

At this rate of Jamerson videos, maybe you should consider doing all the songs in the Standing In The Shadows Of Motown Jamerson book as a long term project☺

Hey! Love the videos, keep them up. Could you do "Them Changes" by Thundercat? It's done on a 5 string but I do not have access to one and would like to learn the actual sound Would be appreciated

On-The-Money. Excellent! I still cannot understand how Jamerson did this kind of work using only one finger of his right hand. SMH.

Nice video, but the b's are supposed to be flat and the g's are natural in the verse.
