I bought the Razer Blade Advanced Edition and I love it and I also love the trackpad it has a very smooth metal touch to feel and It doesn't feel like it's made of cheap plastic and And I like the laptop It doesn't look too basic It has enough detail to make it look noticeable but not overwhelming.

I love the energy this guy puts out in his reviews, definitely keeps my attention 🙃.

When comparing the specs/price of this vs. a MBP, this is definitely the one you should get unless you're a diehard Apple user. I have no problems switching between Windows 10, MacOS, and Linux so OS isn't a big factor for me. A big thing for me is still having access to legacy ports but ALSO having modern USB-C ports (with Thunderbolt 3 capabilities) as my peripherals become more modern. I just made the choice between this and the MBP, so should you! Good review, you gained a sub and I will be watching more of your content in the future!

Just some ideas for the next gen razer 15 to make it truly the best laptops: -Fingerprint scanner -USB-C charging on base model too -white or silver logo as you said as well as SD card slot -option for glossy instead of matte screen (just my preference please don't come for me lol) -bigger battery and way to change the battery easily

Really surprised so many of your users suggested this when you stress how important typing is. Eager to see how you like the keyboard...I sold mine when I got tired of making more typing errors than on any other laptop I have owned.

Had two of these in a row that would last around an hour on a full charge doing light productivity work...BRAND NEW btw. Watched a 23 minute episode of The Simpsons on Disney+ and it went from 100% to 73%. I don't expect very good battery life out of a gaming laptop, but come on that is just unacceptable. I did the usual items for extended battery life (lower brightness, kill unneeded tasks, blah blah) and couldn't break the hour and a half mark. And wow does it heat up during gaming, this thing could cook a marshmallow on its surface! The build was solid, speakers were great and I loved the keyboard and subtle look of the laptop, but I need to be able to be away from an outlet for more than sixty minutes. Swapped it for an Omen 15 and never looked back. Good review man, keep it up.

I had one of those. Just switched to a 13 inch Mac book pro a week ago. The razer blade 15 base model is really great at gaming and editing. It does run pretty freaking hot though.

I’m holding off on the new ARM MacBooks coming soon - still no word if BootCamp will work on them, which i do use often. And I don’t like the idea of buying an older model MacBook, when I’m in the market for a new laptop. I’ve not used PC laptops since 2005’ish. But I want something i can do some solid gaming on, so I’m going to take the plunge and get one of these. There’s still a good $200 cut on these on amazon, I’m gonna do it. Thanks for the review, and the work you put on this channel, dude! 👍

why would you upgrade so early

Can you do a full review? Fan sound test? Heat check on laptop? How does it run games? I'm about to buy this laptop any advice?

I've had mine for about a month now, absolutely love it. The only issue I've had is that the battery doesn't last as long. The most I've gotten with low brightness and keyboard lights off is around 1 hour and 30 minutes.

i think the top camera can be focused more close to the objects, especially when u diplay the ports, it kinda too far too see

Im like you I just want a laptop that does everything well, and game if I need it to.. but Im not a fan of all the corny colourfull gaming stuff they put all over most other gaming laptops. Love the rGb keyboards and slim bezels, also dig the simple asthetic of this unit. Im looking at purchasing one of these soon.. I just want it for microsoft flight simulator, and editing videos for youtube etc.. great video btw I just subscribed : )

If you don’t like the green you can get a Dbrand for these laptops. I plan on getting one and I’m definitely covering that green up

I still have my 2012 MBA 13" and 2015 MBP 13" but I too switched over to the 2020 Razer Blade Pro Base model 2 weeks ago. Only difference is I have the 4K OLED model at 60 Hz plus RTX 2070 Max-Q. All I can say is "WOW - SIMPLY STUNNING". Watching 4K content is an entirely new experience especially on an OLED panel. I can always output to my 1080p 144 Hz monitor for gaming. I bought the Anker USB-C SD and SDHC adapter so that eliminates another problem. Having a network jack instead of an SD slot means I can take this to work as well. Another advantage of the base model over the advanced model is one extra slot for another NVME drive. I can eventually create a Hackintosh boot drive if I want MacOS.

@@neiltaylor513 Battery life is poor but for my purposes, it'll always be plugged in whether that's at home or in hotel rooms. It's not a perfect laptop. It depends on what's most important to you. I have absolutely no buyer's remorse getting the 4K OLED 60 Hz screen over the 1080p LCD 144 Hz screen.

Im looking at this but also on lenovo L340 and ideapad 3. Seriously i am so confused. I just want a gamin laptop that can play csgo and many similar games on medium-low settings and maybe som illustrator when i want. I dont understand anything. Ive seen some have the ryzen 5 and others the intel i5.. which one is better? The L340 is on sale for a good price, should i buy it? PLEASE give me some advice.. im LOST!

Eluktronics Max 17 Covert (basically a Razer without the obnoxious logo and rgb) might be worth a look. Just as powerful as any Razer laptop with better customer support/service. They can get pretty loud, though.

the real price is after the upgrade. how much more was the upgrade. i am trying to figure out if is better your way or ready from factory. thanks

You should look at the razor blade stealth, it’s a 13” laptop

I just got a dell g7 7700 on sale from Best Buy on sale for 1299. It has the 2070 max p. I like it because it doesn’t look like a gaming laptop at all unless you got the rgb on. It gets pretty loud and hot and requires some tweaking out of the box to lower temps.

Do u use any of the laptops that u review

Ive had trouble getting those heat pipes off.. trying to repaste my cpu and GPU, two of the screws on there seem to be overtorqued AF

The 1660 ti and 2060 are very close in performance. I tested it. In shadow of the tomb raider I got 79 FPS with the 1660 ti and 83 with the 2060. If you enable ray tracing the 1660 ti will pull ahead cause the 2060 isn’t fast enough for it.

If you bought the OLED screen version, is there any way to tell that it's actually the OLED version, and you haven't been duped into paying hundreds extra for nothing? (Some retailers are mislabelling the LCD version as the OLED version).

u can get a stealth version to get rid of the green logo😂😂 but it's not going to be as powerful as the 15 one but stealth is incredibly thin and light yet still have a decent performance

You should take a look at the Asus Zephyrus G14, it's a bit cheaper and has USB-C charging without having to upgrade to a more expensive model. I love mine, at least.

Have you used your occulas with it yet? How did it do?

I just ordered mine. Comes in on Tuesday. I was going to get a new MacBook pro 16 inch 2020. I already have a MacBook pro 2015. I figured I should move to windows and the MacBook pro starts at 2,400 which is pretty expensive. The razer is cheaper and has the same specs but even better and you can do much more on a razer and on Windows 10 operating system. I ordered a matte black dbrand skin with no logo cut out to cover up the green logo and im going to be using it for college as well. I am so excited to transition into the windows world. MacOS was so limiting to me. It's not a bad Operating system at all, but I was limited to do a lot of things. I have been an apple user for 8 years. I am excited to see what this has in store for me.

You should try a Aero 15 OLED RTX 2070 Super and compare it. Also you should probably upgrade the ram.

The USB C charging is strategically kept only on the advanced model if u r a sucker for that the Blade Stealth 13 is pretty nice comes with a stealthy blacked out logo too P.S it has Windows Hello that too is available only in the advanced model

Hi, great review ! Can you please verify whether you can plug a 2.5" ssd drive in there? There seems to be enough space and I've seen a video of someone putting a 2.5" ssd in a 2019 model. I am wondering whether that is the case for the 2020 model as well. Thank you!

I believe they’re only nvme m.2 ssd from what I’ve seen... these are new to me much much smaller

Does anyone have experience with Dell G3 compare to this computer? I just saw a G3 model with exact same specs as this one, but Razer costs 400-500$ more, I'm curious what the user experience of these two compare or are we just paying for the gorgeous case?
