Was hoping Razer would of updated it slightly but I still keep gravitating back to the razer. Also I think the way you review products is incredibly underrated! Not many people do update intervals on products so I appreciate it!

I have the same model and struggle playing VR games on quest 2 through link. I have to drop the resolution down to blurry levels before it stops stuttering. What headset do you use?

Kid buy a used lenovo thinkpad and upgrade the parts for much cheaper.

It's interesting that you say you've had no thermal performance issue on the Razer laptops. Possible that it's only related to the 10875h but mine is a little ball of lava. I frequently see thermal throttling in hwinfo and temps as high as 97c on some cores. This is not unique to myself either, it's all over the Razer forums. I have the advanced model with 2070 super max q. I've tried repasting, elevating the rear etc, seems only undervolting helps but razer removed this in bios 1.04. Also in answer to your question, should you get the 2021 model with RTX 3060, i'd say no. You can pick up the 2070 super max q variant for less and it will have vapour chamber and 2gb more vram with the higher end cpu too. It is still a ball of red hot lava though .

I just bought my own razer blade 15 base, when we trial run it on the store before buying, it works fine, but when i tried using on at home, it does some screen flickering from time to time, also when i go to system settings and clicked display, it also does a screen flicker but not as much as the one that randomly activates, any idea what might be the problem here? I already tried updating windows but the problem is still there.

The fan noise on mine is just high (intel cpu sucks), the battery sucks, but everything else is great imo especially the 2nd ssd slot. I am still considering returning this laptop to get an amd version of this laptop, will see

Just pre-ordered the Razer Blade 15 Advanced with a QHD 240HZ screen, RTX3070, i7-10875H (8core), 1TB SSD, 16GB RAM. Release is 9th of April. Can't wait! :)

Fully agree on the desktop lap movable computer part. The laptop is a work horse, except it's not designed to be used as a laptop. You got to put it on something solid. That's also how they design the fans on the bottom side of the laptop which will bend and touch the fan blades even if you push not so hard. Another thing to complain is the keyboard. For some reasons the keys don't always feel consistent? Maybe I had too much potato chips in front of the razer, or not much enough XD? Who knows. But any way, it's a decent and powerful laptop, and still have many spaces to improve to catch up with a macbook, and the experience reaches the peak after you get a separate keyboard.

Have you ever tried an HP Omen?

But it doesn't do power delivery right?

Man I wish your reviews would cover actual daily usage. Every large reviewer just goes off of numbers and stats, whereas the avg consumer isn't even focusing on how long something takes to render, or gaining 10fps in a game.

I’m holding out for the next proper refresh.. hopefully by summer, 3080 ti more wattage and new intel chip and hopefully 120w. As the 2021 17 blade runs ice koool at 100w

Hey, they released mid-2021 version with 11800H Intel processor. And it's quite good IMO as far as 2 months of usage. So probably saying "do not buy Intel in 2021" is not specific enough anymore.

Well done on the channel, and all without yelling and misleading thumbnails. I just don't get gaming laptops. The vast majority of gamers will have a desktop size PC if they're trying to get the best value/performance ratio. They also play at all hours of the night, when usually at home. Do you *really* need triple A gaming at high settings literally everywhere? I suppose some people might need a laptop for work. The batteries when gaming in these things aren't really up to the job anyhow. A mid ranged gaming PC with, say, an RTX2060 and decent resolution draws around 450w of power, so you're being extremely restricted in these machines. Anyhow.

This is literally perfect, i was bored today then I saw this! Very epic!

Congrats on 300k! Aside the rant... hopefully Razer / Dell / other companies update their laptops in the next few months when Intel releases the new laptop CPUs...... Probably then, buying an Intel laptop will make some sense....

I clicked one of your 15 downvotes... sorry... but at least I'll explain why: I know I'm in the minority but I'm sick of the intel bashing when it's unwarranted. This is a gaming laptop, and for gaming, intel 10750H is still best in class... FALSE: the 4800H "wipes up the floor" with the 10750h....for gaming (this is a gaming laptop) the 10750H is faster than 4800H... more fps = faster.. compare real game benchmarks and you we see single core speed is still king. FWIW I own AMD Stock (not intel) but I hate mis-information... and people constantly flame intel because it gets likes

I want to buy this laptop right now, but all this talk of Ryzen makes me feel like I will be upset if they announce that sometime soon. My current gaming laptop just kicked the bucket. Not sure what to do.

Wondering how good white version of laptop is

The Blade pro 17 I have has served me quite well but when I am doing anything intensive (gaming, I am only talking about gaming), I cannot use it on my lap for a few reasons. It gets too hot to be comfortable, I don't want to block the vents on the bottom of computer, and I need to use a mouse for most gaming situations and it is much easier to use on on a desk or table. Gaming laptops are amazing because the power you get in a portable form factor is simply mind blowing but some tasks just cannot be done on your lap.

They sell little lap desks they usually have a cushion under the flat surface so they’re very comfortable and have room for a mouse on the side of the laptop. Great for couch gaming and not blocking vents.

@@chrisgarciart I've seen those but I would still be concerned about the ergonomics of trying to use an external mouse while the computer is on my lap.

You can check Asus ROG Strix G15 2021 Ryzen 5800H+RTX3070 the price is very good for what will you get and it compact size 15 inchies. Is better to compared G15 & Rezer 15 not G17 because 17.3 will cost more haha

I clicked on this video because I saw the two hot air balloons in the thumbnail. Did you make that photo? I've met both of the pilots of those balloons, and I always keep forgetting their names! Plus, they're local to my area so I see them flying often.

If you're still in the camera-game, get some of your own photos. See if Canon will do something for you (they are the major sponsor of the festival).

I never had the 2020 version so the fact that this is like the 2021 isn't a problem lol. Like, no one is getting the 2019, 2020, 2021, new one each year anyway

Thunderbolt 3.... AMD doesn't support it. Also, fingerprints... cover it in another dbrand skin. Use the flat black and it won't look much different but it will help with smudges.

After the disappointing 2021 release, I just bought the 2020 Razer 15 Advanced with i7 10850H & RTX 2070 SUPER on eBuyer for £1700 but it also came with a special offer - a Razer PC Peripheral bundle & Razer Iskur Gaming Chair thrown in FREE! So sold those on eBay for a cheeky £450. So technically I am now the proud owner of a newhigh spec Razer Blade 15 for £1250!! Happy with that! I love the build quality and performance!

@@Chronoless na, not that I'm aware of, it's just the specs are a somewhat small incremental change from the previous gen. The design is the same (not that it's a bad design), the CPU is the same, ssd & ram is just as fast, pretty much just the GPU has changed and display variations. So then comes the price, with new models in the 2k zone, the older 2020 models are below 2k now and just way better value.

sorry, but the 4:07 clip is really illustrative of the current situation...did you see how the screenshot says "temporarily sold out".... we all praise AMD, but if I go to the store, I can walk out with a razer blade right now, or wait/invest days hunting for an AMD machine. many times, the best laptop is the one you can get around you.

It's really tough to justify buying a laptop for film school that is not a MacBook.

I bought the Razer Blade 15 Base 2021 for having a powerful machine on the go but I didn't take it with me more than 2 times. Simply because the battery is horrible. I thought 2h Battery life would be when you game on it but NO, it dies in 2h without even having anything but windows open.. When gaming, that battery will die in 30 minutes. Enough for VR gaming, but nothing else.

I held out on getting the blade 15 because of the 10th Gen, I would either wait for them to go 11th gen, or AMD.

I avoided that laptop because of it's overheating and when it's overheating it could limit its lifespan

The 3060 is worth it if you game a lot. It's a whole tier above the 2060. It offers around 2070 Super performance.

@@yugyt1764 It depends on what matters to you. Both are good machines. I'm personally getting the Blade because of the build quality and I like that Razer's a bit conservative and doesn't let their laptops run at 95+ degrees. If all you care about is performance, then save yourself the extra money. If you want a machine that performs really well and also looks great doing it, then get the Blade. The 3060 will be faster than the 2070 Max-Q. The 3060's performance trades blows with a mobile 2070 Super.

I Genuinely love The Everyday dad's Channel, everything about and i am a die hard razer fan. But for some reason you never Review the Advanced Razer Models, its always the base. Please we wanna see the Advanced, we wanna the best of what Razer has to offer, i mean the advanced is what most people really give a damn about coz the base is just a sham, its expensive for no reason. At least the advanced can justify its price. Oh and also i mean all these in a jokingly way, still love your reviews but for real though, we wanna see more of Advanced. enough of the base crap, also the 360hz rtx 3080 blade 15 advanced fhd has started shipping out.

How is it a sham? It's 500+ cheaper, depending on configuration, still offers good cooling and what I think is unique to Razer (in the windows realm), a CNC unibody chassis. I'd like to see the vapor chamber on the base models, but I've seen the temps on those and they're really not much better than what's here in the base. Smart design outweighs brute force any day of the week. I don't understand the complaints personally. I'd gladly pay a premium of a few hundred bucks to get a chassis that I know will run cool at a low hum (rather than a high pitched wine) and also isn't cheap plastic garbage. Depends on what matters to you.

We need the rant video so that I don’t end up buying this Razer laptop.

Nice video, but please the M1 argument is getting very old...and lets be serious, who is going to want to work hours at at time in a 13" screen with bezels and only 60hz, and cramped in a 13" body keyboard...call me crazy, but comfort and ergonomics for "Creative sessions" are as important to me than how long it takes for the final render for which I might as well go and get a coffee or get some fresh air anyway.

The argument will not be old soon when Apple release a 16-inch M1X with small bezels and performance in a different league to Intel? When you can render projects twice as fast, we will see why making excuses for Intel is pure fandom. Intel has been fooling consumers and ripping everyone off with incremental updates and AMD and Apple are well ahead and will be for years. The 11th gen 35-watt machines being released now, whilst Intel scramble to make the 45-watt in a few months not look too bad against the M1X, are a step backwards. It is really hard to buy an Intel machine other than because you hate Apple or cannot find an AMD in stock, as they are just poor value for Dollars for performance?

@@andyH_England thanks. indeed M1 45 watt would be a monster. but lets don't get carried away with the "Intel has been ripping off". Intel Research has done more to your and my every day life than Apple would ever do. And lets revisit Apple pricing before the M1. charging 1.5x to 2x more than a comparable Windows laptop year after year..., so lets not rush to make Tim Cook a Saint Tim Cook. ...and not to break it to you, but M1 leaves AMD behind just as much as it leaves Intel behind.

I just bought this laptop and now I'm seeing all the videos of how bad the processor is. I swear, as soon as I buy something really expensive that I cant turn back from I see a million videos saying why I shouldn't have done that. There is no turning back now, laptop will arrive tomorrow. Hopefully I didnt just waste 1500 dollars

@@isaac8141 that's what I like to hear. My Advanced 3070 comes Monday and I'm scared to death to keep it due to so many horror stories. It's nice to hear at least one person enjoy it lol
