Thanks to him I am grandma. With number 2 coming in May. Your moma is very proud of you! And Smokey you take care of him.

Hey smokey I'm a fellow sped myself. I couldn't listen and learn, I was a visual and hands on learner. Schools couldn't understand that in the late 80s and early 90s. When speds are passionate about something they become the best they could ever be with that passion. I was obsessed with cars and accidents and now I'm one of the best collision techs in my state. (Top 20s) In my district I am top tech. So embrace your inner sped everyone!! We think in my our own way. And hollywood I feel you in this song. I just found out my mother's heart is failing faster that the family thought. This was her final Christmas. Spend every moment you can with mama 6ix please. You never know when that day she won't be there will come. No apology needed hollywood. We are all getting choked up with you after hearing the story behind the song. We are all proud of where you came from to where you are now. Hats off you and mama 6ix. She did a fantastic job raising you.

Funny enough, Lynyrd Skynyrd were actually NOT from Alabama. They were from Florida. Sweet Home Alabama was written in response to a couple songs by Neil Young, called Southern Man and Alabama. These were songs that were painting the entire south very critically in regards to slavery and racism, and the band felt he was being too unfair with his portrayal of the south by chalking them up to just the land of slavery and racism.

In fact, it's damn near impossible for me to stifle those tears when the floodgates open. I think this song is so huge because it provokes that kind of emotional response from all who listen to it. There have been times in my life where I've allowed things to get waaay too complicated, and I've had to simplify. The outcome is always positive. Much love to both of you, from Vancouver, BC, Canada. 🇨🇦

💕 The more I see you, both of you, the prouder I become as a mama to the world. If I had sons I would be delighted if they were but a reflection of the men that you are. Long ago, during one of my empath crying spells, a woman from a Native American tribe from way up north approached me with a story that changed my life… not only was she mystical and stunningly gorgeous, I often wonder if she was even real in the present moment, we both lived in a very small town and this was the one and only time I ever saw her. Anyway she told me that in their native language there was only one word for laughing and crying, because they are both the same MEDICINE…. I never apologized for crying again, and I think it takes more strength to let it flow than to hold it back and to be proud of it and call it beautiful… which is exactly what you just did Hollywood, and Smokey you’re such an awesome friend you just sit there comfortably and let him have it and supported him and it was a beautiful moment of friendship to witness, thanks guys and have a great rest of your day!✌💚🌻😎✨

"Don't you worry, you'll find yourself"... that's where I saw your tears start flowing. I get it Hollywood. Not many men may admit it, but so many of us have heard that from our mama's (i.e. Hollywood), so many wish they would have gotten that talk from their mamas (i.e. Me). At this stage, I sure wish I had heard that. Either way, after having been through an already emotion-filled life (men our age) and having time to reflect on the past, this song tugs at your heartstrings for sure. MAD RESPECT to Mama 6ix! ✌️ n ❤️

This is such a great song, and showing emotions in response to it, especially with such strong memories attached to it, is a healthy reaction. You never have to apologize for that. I actually think it’s important for more men to see others openly showing emotions other than the variations of anger or apathy that somehow became the only socially acceptable things for men to show. It normalizes being allowed to feel and show the full range of human emotions. Tears are normal for all humans (except maybe psychopaths) and everyone should be allowed to show that. Repressing those emotions is not good for anyone. I am actually proud of you for posting this and not just scrapping it like you could have done. With that said, and on a somewhat lighter note: These guys were actually from Jacksonville, FL. Don’t let that one song title fool ya. Haha! The band’s name is supposedly a play on the name of a teacher they had who told them they would never amount to anything. Which is just an example of why you should never listen to those kinds of people (or be one….it might haunt you forever)!

I think that having emotions and caring about those who care about you can be very professional. A professional is someone who carries out the duties and obligations expected of someone employed in their position or who receives final compensation for the product of their trade. In your case, and specifically in this instance, you are in the position of a music reaction content creator which is exactly what you did, and you did quite well I might add. You gave us a honest and profound reaction to a beautiful song. If that's not "professional" then being professional isn't something anyone should want to be.

Man, never apologize for showing genuine emotions. I’m crazy close to and love my mom more than I can express in words and believe me, there’s no shame in crying over someone you truly love. Any real man should be able to acknowledge that.

6ix, your reaction was so incredibly genuine and emotional that it brought me to tears. I started listening to Skynyrd when I was a high school kid in the seventies and here I am today still taking in the simple, yet strong words of this classic. Smokey, what can I say? You are the perfect ying to 6ix's yang.

This is your best reaction, just ask your Mama. I remember my son riding in the car as a college student and him saying to me, “Listen to this, Mom…” He plays a 2001 remake of this song by another group and smiled. (I see it was the Deftones). He remembers me playing the original while he was very young and it stuck with him. Nothing made me more proud than to know he appreciated what the song said. He definitely turned into a very smart, successful man with a heart of gold.😊

It was part Ronny van zant and Garry rosington that wrote the song with there mom and grandma being the main inspiration for the song the mom parts are all Gary’s mom as he’s an only child and Ronny’s grandmother I don’t know which she’s responsible for but they basically tied them into the song

Much love 6ix you're rocking it RIGHT NOW. The past is the past. This was my dad's favorite band he died before I was born. So my Mom gave me a 2 disc album of Lynyrd Skynyrd loved all their songs except That Smell. That one hit home the worse because my dad died from drug overdose. I've done some fucked up things to my mom and around my mom where she was very disappointed in me but I had to grow up fast and take care of her and now we live in a house after 25 years or so renting in an apartments. In my eyes you're doing great now man. You and Smoke dawg are rockin it. 🤘

You have me in tears.. This song takes me back to the night I delivered my Son, my only child. I was a young, single Mom scared to death. I didn't know what else to do so I rocked him all night staring out the window singing this to him over and over. You showed me the other side.of the story. BTW, Best reaction video I have ever seen. Genuine authentic emotion is so underrated. Thank you for this..❤️

Never EVER apologize for crying...especially when it's for your mom! AND when it's a song that hits your heart and soul that hard! Sounds like you have a great mom - and I definitely think you have to show this reaction to her - and hug her tightly when doing so! When I think of my mom (RIP), and hear this song, I have a very hard time keeping a dry eye (actually a lot of songs do it to me when thinking of her - just ask me about Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd! Can't keep it together when that comes on). Great song, GREAT reaction guys.

Oh my goodness Hollywood! You got me crying over in SC! That’s the power of music. It’s a feeling and that’s what good music can do Hollywood as you know being a musician yourself. You loving our momma so much and her loving you so much that’s what love is, unconditional love. Your momma would be crying her eyes knowing how much you love and talk about her on this channel and she has done a tremendous job doing both roles as a single parent. You are fine and don’t you ever apologize for showing your emotions.

I can absolutely relate Hollywood. I’m going through depression/hard drugs addiction right now. I break into tears everyday for breaking my mom’s heart like that. No shame at all in crying, just the opposite. Much respect for recognizing your mistakes (it seems you’re good now), and showing to the world how much you love your mom. ✊🏽❤️
