For me, Billy from the original Black Christmas is the scariest slasher killer/villain. The fact you never find out who he is, you can't see him, nor fully understand his motive or his backstory makes him so terrifying for me.

  • @FelixMichaelT83

Michael Myers is the scariest of all time for me, the motionless look, cold stare, unprecedented actions and grunting just did it for me when I was 12 years old. Leatherface and The Strangers are also scary, but villains like Jason, Freddy, Ghostface and Max Cady are more intimidating than scary. If you don't know about this slasher, his name is The Other from the film Hellfest, he is also super creepy. Chucky, meh, not so much😂though I do get why a lot of people where scarred when they were kids

I hated the remake Freddy (but yes, speak your truth). I think for older generations Robert Englund as Freddy is just so iconic that it’s hard for anyone else to play him. When I think of Freddy I think of Robert Englund as Freddy. The original Freddy was also a pedophile/serial killer.

Chucky's stitched face in Bride and Seed haunted me as well. I was 5 years old when Bride of Chucky came out in theaters. I lured myself away from dolls (Minus Action figures and Toy Story characters) until I was 19, I realized that all that stuff was make-believe. BTW, Child's Play 2 was released in theaters back in 1990.

Yes about book Annie!! I first saw Misery as a stage play where my local theater owner (who I adore) and his wife played Paul and Annie, and she was small as a twig but I definitely still felt really unsettled watching her performance. Then I read Misery while bedridden from Covid and a severely bruised tailbone, and I had never had a book make my heart race like that. I’ve read other Stephen king novels- I adore Carrie and revival and I like children of the corn and I’m in the middle of Pet Sematary, but so far none of them have gotten to me like Annie has. Especially the difference in the hobbling scene and the scene with the cop from the film

Awesome video !!! Gonna leave a long comment , you know me lol , gonna separate it into 2 parts : 1) My thoughts on your video 2) Villains I’m shocked you didn’t include / I would have included . SOOO here we go 🥳 1) I LOVED the fact that you included Vincent ( he is one my faves ) I’m so shocked Jigsaw was not on your top 10 OMG . I’m glad you didn’t include Jason cause even he is one of my fave , he is funny compare to scary ( HOWEVER, the one from the remake is creepy lol ) OMG the insidious demon is terrifying, however I think the Internet has ruined the movie cause that jump scare has been showed so many times lmao . Pennywise is so cute evil , plus Bill Skarsgard is one of my biggest crushes lol . Also Kevin from split , YEAH BABY ! One of my faves , I would love to be kidn*pped if James McAvoy is the one doing it LMAFO ! I am so happy my baby valak made the list ! Also omg ! The girl from ‘get out ‘ is so creepy ! I hated her so much with the reveal ! 2) I’m so shocked you didn’t include / I would have included villains like Kayako ( the grudge ) : she just looks so terrifying to me Amanda and Hoffman ( SAW ) : Amanda is one of my fave characters ever and her Hoffman are so evil cause their traps didn’t allow the victim to win like wtf Candyman, the zombies from world war z / train to busan Ghostface : I think is very scary the fact that someone you might know ( a friend / relative ) is k*lling your friends / family around you and then just being your usual friend / relative. That’s pretty creepy to me The strangers family : they are so creepy with the masks on and so evil The sheriff from Texas 2003/2006 : that man is so disgusting Annabelle : I love her and the demons behind her were quite creepy lol The vampires from 30 days at night MOST IMPORTANTLY: death in itself from final destination , cause is something we never see coming and it just comes and attack us and we are on our responsables . Did that make sense ? Plus the protagonist try to save the victims but death just doesn’t allow that and laughs at us

Awesome list! I really like how different it is from most people who would do this list. Some of the ones I would add to my list (these might even be at my top 10 or even top 5) is the doctor from Human Centipede 1 and I think he would tie with the killer dude from Human Centipede 2. Even though the story is very unrealistic, I think the movies are still disturbing and scary and the killers are just extremely terrifying. Other ones I would add is the hill people from Hills Have Eyes (2006) and Hills Have Eyes 2 (2007). Both movies have terrifying hill people. Art the clown is definitely high on my list and same with Leatherface. Also Pennywise. I love both Pennywises but I do have a bigger love for the 2017 Pennywise. I love the 2017 movie more and I really love how amazing Bill play Pennywise. Buttttt, I do have to say I think Tim Currys Pennywise is just a bit scarier. I do love Bills Pennywise but to me Tim Currys is just a tad bit scarier. His smile and everything is super creepy to me. Both Pennywises are definitely high on my list though because I do find Bills Penny to be pretty scary as well :)

It wasn’t the lipstick faced demon in insidious that unnerved me when I first saw the film, i mainly found him badass looking... it was the smiling family that freaked me the hell out, especially the young girl with the shotgun who’s grinning face popped right up in the camera! 😬 Oh and I also had a dream that I was able to stop the entity from It Follows that nobody else ever thought of, I waited until it came close, then hacked off its limbs with a machete then ran. It can’t exactly continue to follow or pursue you now if it doesn’t have any legs or arms 😂

The clown from "Poltergeist" scared the crap as me as a kid. I still think Zelda from Pet Semetary is still creepy as hell. This list was amazing and so well thought out! Thanks for the wake n bake content this Saturday 😁 I just recently watched Misery for the 1st time because I didn’t know it existed! Incredible performance by Kathy Bates. Love Stephen King, so I’ll have to read this one eventually. Vincent from House of Wax remake was a great choice!! I so agree with you on this movie. I thought of it as a guilty pleasure for the longest, but it’s such a damn good movie- love your take on it! Agree with you on The Crazies. That one rly had me on edge when it first came out since like you said- they weren’t really zombies, just sick. Kinda like what you said about Invisible Man- didn’t seem too far fetched of a concept with science/technology/disease😬 Michael Myers’ spot on this list is totally fair! I’ve been dying to hear your thoughts on the Terrifier, haha so thank you! This was genuinely terrifying to me when I tried to watch. And then the mf preview wouldn’t stop playing on my Netflix profile for whatever reason where he smiles in the diner 😅 I had to turn it off bc it was getting to me. That music😳 I never saw any of the Insidious movies because I’m the type that likes to see a movie preview, and when I saw the one for Insidious, it just didn’t seem like my type of movie. I also think I was the busiest I’ve ever been in my life finishing college and working full time so there was that lol. But I think I’m gonna have to give them a shot now.

I think the insidious movies are definitely worth seeing! Even if demon movies aren’t really your thing, the characters and story are extremely strong so at least you have that. My top pick would have been The Blob, especially the 1988 version, that was pretty much an unstoppable killing machine that grew as it ate. The African warrior doll from the first Trilogy of Terror was more scarier than Chucky the doll and should have made the list. The next one would be the Deadites from the Evil Dead series, those are very difficult to kill. Malachai from the original Children of The Corn film should have made the list, not only was he a bad ass but he was creepy as well. Damien Thorn from the original Omen series should have also made the list, he just had the power to kill off people who tried to cross him in gruesome ways.

commenting as i watch so this might be a kinda long comment lmao also im typing super fast so there might be a ton of typos hahaha 1. i totally agree the hitchiker is scarier than leatherface because unlike the hitchiker, leatherface is easier to manipulate and he isnt just blatantly evil like the rest of the sawyer family. like hes so much more sensitive and vulnerable if u know what i mean. 2. yo annie wilkes is kinda spooky, but i feel like the setting and situation is what really pushes it over the edge, like being stuck in a secluded cabin where its blizzarding is so terrifying to think about...giving me beggining of lockdown vibes like no thanks i dont want to relive that. 3. i feel like micheal is definitely the scariest of the big names in horror becuse of how cold and souless he is not that scary to me though. 4. ESTHERRR yes omg shes so creepy fr like the twist is crazy and makes her so much scarier. the scariest part is her supposed innocence like it so easier for her to manipulate the people around her because she seems so vulnerable yk? 5.yoooo ffs diana is so scary shed be way higher up on my list oh my god one time i was watching lights out with my cousin and there was a diana jumpscare and she damn near concussed herself on my head board lmaoooooooooo 6. yes i totally agree with where you put samara because yes shes scary, but her human qualities make her much easier to empathize with...but her climbing up the well behind rachel in i think the sequel, is so scary like no thanksss maam pls stop that 7.plsss not the naked mole rat that is remake freddy hahaha 8. valak is so scary istg like the conjuring two has me on edge the whole timee i caanntt 9.havent seen terrifier yet, but i hear art the clown is a spooky fella 10. yo the tethered are pretty spooky like idek what to say about them lmaoo 11. i dont even think jigsaw is that scary idk but then you think about those traps and you're like yeah nevermind this mf is deranged hahaha 12.i was about to be pissed if rose wasnt on this list istg racists are pure evil and the scum of the earth like reality is often scarier than fantasy and this movie reminds me of that, 13. yo kevin is a spooky fucker too idk what else to say haha 14. lipstick face is also creepy he really ust shows up out of nowhere like that soundtrack is mhmh so off putting 15. bride in black is the scariest villan in that series so spooky sooo SPOOKYYY 16. id immediately die if i was in the quiet place and thats all i would like to comment on that lol 17. 2017 pennywise is soooo scary too omg but i just have no idea what he would turn into for me...can he turn into failure?? lmaooo 18.really...adrian is the scariest for you WHATT girl thats nonsense...okay maybe ur right men are terrifying.

You should make a video on what makes a horror movie actually scary because if I'm honest? Everything I use to find scary as a young child just isn't shit to me as an adult. Oh Kylie you done my boy Michael wrong lol, but for the purposes of your list I get how he isn't scary in the movies. Now my way of considering him top 5 is that I'm a pretty big guy (6'5" 225lbs) and I have put together a pretty damn good Halloween costume to walk around in my local suburbs or in the city on Halloween and let me tell you people get freaked out more than I think they would. They cross the street, they turn around and walk faster and they avoid me just because of the look. Anyone can be under that mask, it can happen in any town and for all intensive purposes he could be real and you can't trust it. NOW, back to the list!

I audibly shrieked your name at my screen seeing Jason in your HM. In theory, I understand, because he doesn't scare me either. Its my comfort franchise. Once you explained that this was scary for YOU I understood, but HOLY CRAP, haha. I guess I should be thrilled he got an honorable mention since the original Freddy did not, haha. Matthew was completely unhinged in TCM:NG. He's terrifying in a non-terrifying movie. He gave his ALL there. Michael Myers only scared me in part 2. The opening sequences when he is just walking through the old couple's house and then killing the random girl. That made him scary to me. He could be anywhere and attack anyone. Um. Esther is TERRIFYING. She would be higher on my list, to be honest. JEH was a good Freddy in a bad movie. The make up was horrible and the rest of the cast phoned it in. However...Englund's Freddy in pt 2 is just as sinister as this one, I feel like. Valek in the Conjuring 2 scared the crap out of me and because of that I was so looking forward to the Nun only to be super disappointed. Art the Clown is horrifying. He creeps me out every single time and I'm not even scared of clowns. The fact that he is COMPLETELY silent...even footsteps...*shivers* Jigsaw is my favorite and he is SO smart. James McAvoy in Split is PHENOMINAL. The fact that you believed he was every single one of those people is amazing. I think I'm going to give the Insidious franchise another go. I didn't watch any but the first. Adrian was a great villain and here's why...he was SO manipulative that event though I KNEW he was involved, you almost believed him that he did not do the things he was accused of. You go through an abusive relationship with her and you can easily feel how someone would be gaslit. Bagul from Sinister scares the CRAP out of me. Those movies leave me so incredibly unnerved. There is something about the sound of the home movies and then just seeing him just appear in images...he's terrifying. His whole concept is. Its the only horror movie I won't watch with the lights out, lol.

Imo Tim Curry’s Pennywise is scarier than Bill’s, mostly bcs of his friendlier look and overall manners that feel more like a clown you’d see everyday which makes him utterly deceiving. With Bill I think his clown look already looks creepy and dirty to the point where yeah, I would totally buy that he’s a monster in disguise. Also Bill’s performance was good but I just have a soft spot for Tim’s over-the-top energy, and his laugh my god HIS LAUGH
