Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

G'day Guys. Ive decided to have a professional Paint Protection Wrap installed on the Ranger Raptor by the girls at Slick AZZ protective coatings here in Brisbane. Watch on as they explain the benefits of Paint protection film and show how the process works.

    Mate I'm really happy with this wrap so far, It was riding me every time I went out for a drive in the bush because the raptor is wider than most 4x4s you seem to catch the branches none else does.

    Seriously considering getting it done to mine too. Did you get a full detail beforehand?

  • @RoundTheFire

    @RoundTheFire

    3 жыл бұрын

    No need for a full detail if you are taking it in to get fitted, they do all that for you as a part of the service. Quick hose over and dry beforehand would do the trick.

    Would definitely get a set if they had a DIY kit for the raptor too! By the way, what bar are you gonna get this time around? You said you wanted to keep things light so the suspension will stays sweet, I was thinking along the same lines. So I was just adding things up, and it turns out a winch plate (Mongrel Offroad has got them on pre-order now, around 10kg) with a synthetic rope winch (35kg) plus a nudge bar (10kg) for spotties (7kg a pair) will get you to 62kg extra. Compare that to a bumper replacement bar like Offroad Animal Predator bar (around 60kg), and again add in winch and spotties (42kg), then take away the weight of the factory bumper (around 30kg according to "Jacob's Garage" on KZread) and the factory bash plate (~10kg), you end up with 64kg extra. Pretty much no difference at all and probably should get constant load springs on the front for both. I'm now questioning if getting a winch and bar is even worth it considering the $4000 I'll have to put down and since I don't do any "4 wheeling", when am I gonna be so hopelessly stuck that lower tyre pressure and a couple of Maxtrax can't get me out. What's your thoughts on this Damo? Cheers and stay safe!

  • @RoundTheFire

    @RoundTheFire

    You are on the right track thinking about weights. Keeping the Raptor lean on the scales is the ticket I believe. I’m personally going to add the hidden winch mount on this one just waiting for them to be ready. A winch is a nice to have but as you have said if your not doing too much tuff stuff off road then there isn’t much you can’t get out of with tyre pressures, trax and a shovel. I’ve had a winch on all my 4x4s and rarely had to use them in anger, when you do need it they are definitely a huge time saver.

    A all girl workshop! That seems sexist. You can't tell me that no man that went for the position was suitable or if not more qualified than some of the female applicants. Imagine trying to start a business that advertises only male workers not because they are more qualified but because they are men. Don't think that would go down very well in today's society. It's seems acceptable for women to do so.
