    Thanks for the video Damo. Thought I’d give you a heads up, seeing as you’ve given me plenty of info in the past, Safari have an Armax high flow snorkel in development for the Raptor (in the past you’ve mentioned you’re not a fan of the steel ones - neither am I). Just submitted a query on their website and they advised they should have photos up on social media in 2 or 3 weeks. Finally!!

    I hope so mate, it may be a little late for me now I’ve had to install a steel one for the Cape York trip we have just finished filming. Safari have been telling me they will have a snorkel ready in 8 weeks for the last 8 months...🤔

    Hey Damo, love your vids. Watching them convinced me to buy the Raptor (arrives end of this month). I just spoke to Berrima Diesel (they are very helpful). I am keen to know, did you consider Unichip before going with DPchip? If so what tipped you towards DP? Thanks and keep the vids coming!

    G’day mike, yes I did look at all the available chips at the time. The main reason I went with DP chip at the end of the day was Berrima Diesel is the distributor of the product with a VERY long and good reputation in the Diesel industry which gave me confidence they weren’t a pop up seller. Also the DP Chip is German manufacturing which ticked the final box 👍🏻

    Mine is the Oz Roo rack 👍🏻 I just cut off the section that had the lights fitted and mounted it backwards to hide the cut. You can get them in 3 different lengths. I orders the 950mm length so it sat nice and short and give it a bit of a different look 👍🏻

    Hello from Poland. First of all I Appreciate your service! Watching closely your clips I find it usefull snd practical. One thing is certain - this engine needs tune. And as DP Chip is a king of a Jungle in AUS climate I would like to kindly ask you to ask the question to DP about the climate impact on the device. Iwould like to buy this for my Ranger but I am a bit worrying about the module pertofmamce in much colder climate. Appreciate your support.

    Hi mate, thank you very much 😎 you will have no problems with the DP Chip in Poland. The DP Chips are German manufactured and the electronics are rated for -40deg Celsius up to +120deg Celsius. I have the DP Chip available on my website www.roundthefire.store and have shipped many to Europe already 👍🏻

    @@RoundTheFire good to hear you ship to Europe. My question regarding the climate was about the air/fuel ratio that in colder climate is a bit different vs hot as is AUS. Another one is about number of parameters of the piggyback: I saw one connector in y our insall video - does is alter boost pressure only or other parameters as well (i.e. injector timing)? I know these are details but I recon the important ones.

  • @RoundTheFire

    @RoundTheFire

    3 жыл бұрын

    Thanks mate. The Chips come pre tuned ready to roll no need to get the truck on the dyno. this video is just showing the live actual results of stock vs chip. The chip brings up your torque (more grunt for towing and pulling on inclines) the plug-n-go throttle controller gives the snappy response to the throttle, way more than what putting the truck into sports or Baja mode can do, I can certainly notice the difference once its fitted. Keep in mind the chip will make the truck quicker but not sports car fast...but it feels good for a truck that is fairly close to 3 Ton when loaded.

    @@evolverc1822 I agree mate, when I first drove one I did the exact same thing you are doing now. First mod i made was a Chip when the truck was only 300/Ks old. Makes it feel more RAPTOR, probably how they should have been tuned out of the box in the first place.

    Sounds like a good move mate 👍🏻 from what I can gather the MY20.75 Models are coming with the new Ford Pass App which “should” be basically the upgrades for the Ozzy 2021 models. The US release for 2021 is getting a different 2.3L motor and a sun roof.

    I just took mine off and sold it after owning it for approx 6 weeks. I didn't have anything wrong with it as such just wanted more than an 7 rwkw gain and minor torque increase (which is what we tested it as). I'm also not sure increasing fuel pressure is the best way to go about it. But im sure they are still good unit for the ease of unplug for warranty purposes as mentioned.

    These chips just trick your ecu into increasing the fuel rail pressure. A proper ecu remap is a far better option imo.

  • @RoundTheFire

    @RoundTheFire

    Proper ecu tune is certainly better than a chip. However the Raptor has 3 ECUs and no one has been able to crack the code to tune them.

    Not at all. The tune is built in to the chip. Also if you unplug the chip your Truck will immediately back to factory tune.

    Can you explain the following: How come the stock run showed 595nm at the wheels, but the manufacturer states 500nm at the fly? I would have thought the stock run at the wheels would have been less than 500nm at the fly.
