Greetings from the state of Oregon. Love watching your adventures! Hope they make a Ranger Raptor here in the states soon, one badass truck! Would like to see how it handles in snow and ice? Your videos will be precious memories for the kiddos in the future!

Thank You and welcome, great to see!! From what I have heard I believe there will be a Ranger Raptor in the USA in 2021...I may need to stand corrected but I think your model will come with a sun roof, something we don't get here in OZ.
Another great outing trip, gaining more confidence with the Raptor.

Nice crossing at Skull Creek mate, love the raptor. Cheers Steve
Awesome series buddy, certainly very capable 4wd, just shows you u don’t need a 4wd action set up to go 4wdriving 👍👍👍

An honest, no nonesense account of travels with no bullshit, straight forward and honest. But I do notice the trend these days NOT to fit a radiator blind for water crossings, even for the protection of mud and grit etc, getting into the radiator fins.
Bloody Brilliant Damo! We're lucky we live here in Aus mate as there's some epic country to see :)

Love the vid Damo and what a beautiful part of the country you are in. What snorkel did you end up putting on the beast?
@RoundTheFire
3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Marc, I went with a snorkel from Platinum Mechanical. I liked the shape of their bend and they were able to get me in fairly quickly as per usual I left it to the last minute
Great videos mate, love your stuff. Where'd you have the snorkel installed?
@RoundTheFire

I ended up getting a snorkel from platinum mechanical 👍🏻
Nice video mate. What brand winch is that and how was it mounted?
Great stuff mate. Your videos getting better and better and with every rough track you go i am more looking forward to our tour from Austria to the very south of the Peloppones (Greece). Let me ask you one question: was the snorkle mandatory for the river crossings you made or would it been possible without it as well? Best regards from Austria and also thumbs up to your wife and kids - you are all doing a great job!!

Thank you 👍🏻 sounds like you have a epic trip coming up! As for the snorkel it is not required if you are crossing water under 850mm depths. In this part of Australia some of the crossings were over 1000mm depth. Best of luck with your adventure 😎

@@RoundTheFire Thank you very much - our trip will be nothing compared to yours. Some Kilometers but lots of them highways or main roads. Down on the very south of the Peloppones it will get a bit more adventurios. Hope so at least....-)) Cheers
Awesome vid Damo! How the door seals.. get any water in the cab?
@RoundTheFire

Thanks mate, the seals were good, no water in the cab thankfully, If I had gotten stuck in one of these crossings it would have been a totally different story.
Should do the latest rig rundown 👍 awesome progress

AND I’ve done that crossing before...still was a lot different to the last trip I did up there
@1:31 I could listen to that all day long. Can you please tell me how you've done it? Excellent content on your channel btw!!
Im going to pause a 13 mins in. I bet those guys where happy you showed up. Always good to throw a Come Along in the truck just in case. Nice save: "This is what my wife looks like in the morning, so thats good" lol . Just curious if you are using any of the TMS, this does not look to tough, for that Raptor to go through so far. EDIT: I should of watched the video longer, there where some pretty good spots you went through.

That poor family was locked out of their state by COVID so they found themselves wandering along the telegraph track totally unprepared. I didn't show the entire footage but I had to winch out their trailer first and then their vehicle! That crossing point was the one i had been using all day long and was literally 10ft from my camp. I laughed when i was reviewing the footage and heard myself mention the part about the wife!!
@RoundTheFire

To be honest I "Try" to use the the appropriate TMS setting as to match the terrain, mainly to learn what each one does so I can pass on what I learn. However, most of the time I totally forget. I definitely don't use the Grass/Gravel/snow mode for normal dirt road driving...it uses too much fuel.

Nice vid mate. What tub rack are you using?
@RoundTheFire
3 жыл бұрын
Ozz Roo Rack 👍🏻
Hey mate, What racks are you running, and what sort of weights do you reckon you are carrying?
That water crossing, do you have to do anything special about the fan blades being in the water?

Just don’t dive hard into the water…ease in
Love your videos and fell in love with the raptor, but buying a raptor and then start modding it like yourself for remote/off road trips is going to be too expensive for me. A wildtrak with low mileage is affordable for me and i have money left to spend on mods and needed accessories when out camping. But i dont' see any real decent off road videos or real remote drives from a wildtrak... Not sure if you have experience with wildtraks but how good would it be for the stuff you are doing?
@RoundTheFire
3 жыл бұрын
Hey mate, the wild tracks are a good rig, you could certainly kit them out to do remote off road travel. If you are looking for a more economical version I personally think the XLT is the best bang for your buck overall package to get stated with 👍🏻
