Man that raptor is one hell of a weapon love it I’ve got the ranger in a wild track was so close to getting the raptor just wasn’t over the moon with the 2L engine so I went the ranger with the 3.2L but I see people getting big KMs out of there raptors might be my next Ute 👍👌

I was in the same boat 2 years ago wasn’t too sure about the engine, took the leap of faith and surprised myself...2 turbos and 10 gears makes for a bloody nice bit of giddy up! Still can’t complain with having a Wildtrack you get a bit more of a load carry capacity and a lot bigger selection of accessories ready to go 👍🏻

Love my Raptor. Power is plenty icw 10-speed & tune. As driving in Spain is of course a lot different than in Australia. I actually find it more a rally car then an off-roader. And the suspension is making big differences in uneven corners being dirt or cobble stones. Holding a lot better grip then high load specified leaf spring set-up. The suspension drives great on longer drives as well as entering town (no more fears of speed bump damages) and inside the city, the diving and raising nose creates some funny looks from surrounders. Great to hear that high mileage goes well with this engine. And 170kmh limit is a benefit. Tyres really hold up well. And can be manufactured a lot cheaper as the ones for M, X6, Range Rovers etc. Which by the way all flunked during the heavy snowfall in January this year. Driving a great looker and toy with many standard parts and maintenance definitely makes it a keeper. Though my when my side window was knocked in, to my surprise it showed to be laminated. And unavailable in European spares stock.

I live just up the road from the Drifta store in Brendale (and a few other 4x4 joints) and they've seen my credit card a lot lately :) Would love to hear from you (or the misses) about what dinners you guys cook up on the back of the Raptor. We normally pre-cook bolognaise or chop up the veggies for a stir-fry/stew and vacuum seal (and freeze) before heading out. The reheat is super easy and the fry ups are quick.

I do like the KO2 ATs, very capable tyre. there hasn’t been any terrain (so far) that has really made me think any differently. The main reason for wanting KO3 MT is I’ve had BFG MTs on all my other 4x4s and I like the...look...we did a test in Cape York a few years ago, identical vehicles, same brand BFG Tyres 1 with MT and 1 with AT. Made no huge difference other than look. 👍🏻

No issues with my batwing on a Rhino rack mate. Ive got my awning brackets fixed on the extreme opposite ends of the rack and the entire back section of the awning is free hanging. You will have about 1000mm of overhang, can either put that 50/50 each way (i don't like the awning over hang at the front, too risky to catch trees in my opinion) so I've just added the entire overhang to the rear.
