I am so grateful I was able to snag this dream knife, the Randall Made 2-7 Fighting Stiletto in high carbon blade steel and stacked leather handle, without having to wait for 5 years! This is a loving look at the knife. "If you have the means, I highly recommend it." (what movie is that from?)

Such an incredibly beautiful Randall! When you showed it on Thursday Night Knives, I think the majority of us started drooling. lol Very cool how you found the exact configuration that you wanted. Great video once again Bob. Have a great day!

Thanks Monster, I lucked out on this one on a couple of dimensions. But it does look nice under a bright light and close up!
Don't blame you for showing it off - it's a beauty. I used to like daggers a few decades ago but the only ones I own now are repros of medieval dags. Also glad you showed the number 1.
Wow such a great review ..Thankyou for your time and acquiring these fabulous quality blades to shear
Nice! I have a Randall mdl 1 w/ 8' blade & stag antler handle. I got mine when I entered military service in 1990.
In the Spyderco factory outlet they have like 30 Randall knives. If you ever visit, you’ll love the Randall case.
That second Randall is actually a 16-7 Special Fighter

Love it ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
hi bob-i carry a randall model 16-1 special fighter on a regular basis and recently got a #2-7 in stainless like yours a couple of weeks ago but i have had a bunch of randalls come to me that i completly forgot about because i ordered them on different months a few years ago. so i have another model 16-7in with green micarta and another stainless m2-7in with maroon micarta and brass hilt and butcap and a m14 7.5in stainless cdt (cut down tang)and leather handall and brass hilt and brass butcap-holy shit i am over stimulated lol
Wasp handle is also what it's called , Knife Center is a place I'm gonna need to keep my 👁️👁️ on for one like that 💰💰😎💰💰
Cool
"A little Randall phase...." 🤔🤔🤔🤣🗡️🗡️🗡️🗡️🗡️🗡️🗡️🗡️🗡️🗡️🗡️

It better be a little phase, just ask my wife. On second thought, don’t please.
Nice video sir!
I used to think the KaBar was a cool knife until I saw it next to your Randalls
Bob, I’m happy to say that you’ve awakened my interest in daggers. I haven’t been in the dagger collecting business since 2009. I guess it’s time I re-engage ;)

Yes- re-engage! Many more daggers have come along since 2009.
It's a toss up between the model 1 -7 this model 2 or 14 ?
The conventional doctrine that was from the late 19th century dictated that a combat knife with a blade of 7" should deal a fatal blow anywhere in the torso, but at that time it was probably more thought of as a minimum than anything else. It's really WW1 where we see the emergence of the modern 7" combat knife with German and French examples sort of setting the tone for most development. I guess those long bayonets were probably a hindrance in trenches because everyone but the Japanese cuts down their bayonets in the interwar period to about 10" or less and in most cases right around 7". Almost every production military fighting knife from then on has had a blade of about 7", the notable exceptions being mostly traditional weapons and hybrid utility stuff like the smatchet.
Have you read into the history of the Devils brigade? It’s how we got the V42 fighting knife that is on our Green Berets emblem. What a Fantastic history of our warrior culture

I have not, but I will definitely check it out. Was that your unit?
Ur no. 2 is marked S for 440v stainless...Carbon is unmarked and will be 01 tool steel, unless u have an older like mine which is Carbon L6
For someone who's not a Randall Junkie your doing a good job. But you are surely screwed because, given your feelings that come through during the review, there is no way you're going to buy just a couple Randall's every few/several years (I've subscribed and keeping an eye on you) it'll be because of this; If you get to handle a #4-6"F (new production from Randall, a revival of another Randall WW2 Classic Fighter,) you're going to poop in your socks. It's that good, trust me. After that you'll be a(nother) hopeless cause.
Maybe the handle is shaped like May West. Woman was Shapley and had curves that stuck to the hand.

I like that, I am going to use that if you don't mind. May and I share(d) the same birthday so I feel a certain kinship with her.
Isn't it a shame.. living in the UK as a Scotsman.. and it's illegal to own a dagger 🙄 Love the Randall.. but the harsey 🤯😎 🍻

that is just crasy with the history of Scotland and the tradition regarding the wear and use of daggers. Just why? Nobody should dictate what knife you own in your home atleast.
U sure that micarta handle yer calling a # 1 , isn’t a #16 spl#1 ? The 2’s are my favorite- that is in my current phase
@TheKnifeJunkie
3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, they were calling the one with green micarta a 16 and I know it's a 16 handle with a 1 blade, but it can be confusing to me so maybe I misspoke. I am glad to see someone else going through a Randall phase!
How, can only two Randall's do you for now? I just don't get it.😂 I can't stop getting them!
They are super easy to get. Read Read Read. Commando handle. You have the std / most common 2-7 set up. $475.00 in 2023.
