Back in 2007 I had contacted Randall knife about a particular knife they made and they were very helpful and later I purchased one of their knives from a soldier that was in Mogadishu during the Blackhawk down period. This Randall knife had been used for everything and the blade was scratched up and had a small chip in the blade and he had lost the sheath. This knife is the model# 14 with the 7.5 inch blade. I contacted Randall knife and after talking to Gary T. Randall I sent the knife to them and they did a beautiful restore on the knife and it now is in my safe. This was back in April of 2009 by the way they also made me a new sheath, great job Randall👍🇺🇸

You can send a Randall back to the shop for a clean up. It’s like a 1 month turnaround

I have a 14 that I purchased from Bo in 1975. It has an arched cross guard, $25 option. It took 10 days to have it shipped to me from factor. I was with the 101st AB. Also worked for O.G.A. love Randell knives. Like high carbon blades. Never had rust problems even when knife and leather sheath were wet and weeks before there was a chance to get completely dry.

The Walking Dead I believe showcased I think at least 2 Randall knives. In later episodes Maggie, I believe, was carrying around, bouncing off her wonderful hip a Number 1 Fighter Randall. And that POS Trevor had a knife just identical blade & handle to your fine 556 knife here. Trailside? Alaskan Skinner?? This is no surprize the props department highlight great American icons on the set of Walking Dead. Same as thier various besutiful Colt handguns. Ricks Python, Glenn's 1911, Meryls Colt Police Positive. Same as the fine archery quivers from Three River Archery near St. Louis, when the long guns started disappearing & archery became the base of firepower. That's very wise & great eye candy too, showing off quality American craftsmandhip! Cheers....

Knurled handle tubes and caps are outsourced. All blades are entirely ground, polished, and sharpened by hand.

Mike, when you first moved to Alaska, I traded a Sig 1911 for two Randall knives, with the previous owners of NK’s. I still have the Randells and many more now. Do you still have the Sig? I believe they gave to you as a “moving to Alaska” gift.

Their wait time isn’t accurate at all. I’m 4 months past the “ship date” I was originally given. If you email them they will update it, but that countdown is a joke.

The stainless ones are the only forged stainless around... The performance is superb, the ergonomics perfect, and the edges thinner than any other fixed blade out of the box. Oh and CPM steels are garbage as knife steels: They were intended for industrial use. 440B-c is still the best, and is even better at 60-61 Rc in my opinion.

01 when forged and properly heat treated is very close to the performance of 3V, I wouldn’t get to caught up in absolutely having to have the latest super steel.

Yes and no. The knife has already been restored and sold for more value then it was worth in its extremely damaged state. It had a rolled edge, Dremel grooves and pitting. We make knives for a living and manufacture mid techs and were able to use our skill sets to refurbish it pretty well. We arent some folks in a shed with a buffing wheel.

Maybe if there was some intelligent conversation amongst a group of men who actually understood the steel and the manufacturing process and the insane history of Randall... (NOT CACHE) .SMH... maybe talk about Rockwell hardness and the famous HAND MADE KNIFE makers behind the scenes and how the lineage dates back to WW2.... GOOD LORD please find knife men to do this video.... Bo is turning over in his grave

For serious knife guys I'm amazed what little you know about RMKs, pretty much the basic info any blade guy would know. The M18 wasn't designed for killing anybody although any blade can do that from a razor blade to a box cutter to a Ka-Bar and anything in between. It was designed by a helicopter pilot early in the VN war for aircrew use. The saw teeth were designed to punch through aircraft skin. Read some books guys before you make a video.

Randall knives are so stupid to me. Why would I ever give money to company WITH A 6 YEAR LEAD TIME for its products? I mean fuck rolex and Ferrari are easier to order from. They're so expensive second on the used market despite 100s being on eBay and other sights. I really don't think Randall is going to keep this momentum up for long. Also every Randall I see looks completely unused.
