My friend showed me this song in 2012 few months after HS ended. Song brings back hella feels

This song means a lot to me. I used to listen to it non stop, back when I was in highschool, depressed, fighting my parents every single day, cutting myself, and just entirely lost in life. I hurt so many people I loved and they hurt me. But this... It made me feel better and helped me cope with shit. 5 years later I'm still fighting, but I'm doing so much better every single day.

I thought I’d never be able to retrace my way back to the name of this band and song. My mind is jam packed with information and all the deep-seated, emotionally-tied memories from all the various ups and downs of my life, and sometimes I simply can’t identify a song that is nonetheless buried in my memory like this one. I listened to this song on repeat over and over and over during some of the absolute darkest and most depressed years of my life. I wouldn’t say it lifted the darkness or helped my depression, but it gave me company during it. I somehow found it looking up info about the actress Amanda Seyfried after watching a YT Short mentioned she’d been in the running to play an MCU character at one point. Recently, I’d also thoroughly enjoyed her turn in the Hulu series Dropout where she plays the role of Elizabeth Holmes and her involvement in the Theranos scandal. Then I looked at her filmography. Then I saw that she’d starred in the movie Chloe (2009, alongside Liam Neeson… which I thought was an interesting movie at the time. Then I saw that one of the film’s main songs was from Raised by Swans. It’s so interesting how little things, like bread crumbs, can lead to long-ignored but never-forgotten memories like this one for me. Just a few weeks ago I was desperately trying to hear enough of the faint echo of this song in my head to try to make out a lyric or two so I could find it, but to no avail… Anyway… I know no one will listen to this but this mattered to me and to who I am.

The love of my life loved raised by swans. This song in particular. She was a beautiful woman with a deeply troubled soul. She passed away at 49 yrs old on July 5. Chula honey I'm playing this for u. May u rest in peace my love. Te amo, besitos chula

I am a Japanese. I am fourteen years old. My family and I like Raised by swans . But my friends don't know it. I think any Japanese people don't know this song. But I still love. I still listening.

This band is absolutely beautiful.

I'm 48. I've heard a lot of music. I wouldn't compare Raised by Swans to any of it. Just wait a sec..---love that part. Great band.

One the most beautiful tracks I have come across. If you like this, then I totally recommend Team Sleep (Chino Moreno's from Deftones side project). Team Sleep has heavier moments, but encapsulates the same ambient, atmospheric vocals with beautiful delayed guitar effects interlaced within. Love this musical style!

I toured with this amazing man in November 2015 throughout eastern Europe and just grew to love him and his music. Good Luck Eric. Hope to see you again in the not too distant Future. Tour also included the amazing Midas Fall. I was their crazy driver.

Their music is just amazing. I really think that music must touch your soul. This music makes me cry and smile, I'm happy and sad at the same time. It's just perfect

I first listened to this song about two years ago, and I'd bought the album etc. I had no idea the cover was from 'Grave of the 'Firelfies' until I JUST saw Seita hold Setsuko and recognised it instantly. Made me fall in love with them even more, even though I didn't think that was possible.

How come I have never heard of this band? it's like explosions in the sky with lyrics.

Yeah, the cover is from anime movie called "Grave of the fireflies". An amazing movie which is heart breaking until the very end. Not to intentionally give anything away but the scene depicted in the album cover is where the brother (Seita) is holding his sister (Setsuko) who passed from being malnourished.

Great song, has a sad touch to it. The film (grave of the fireflies) is an amazing, and sad film as well. Curious that they've got it on their cover but it works. :)

I knew I recognized the image from somewhere! Yes, such a tragic, tragic movie, yet beautiful at the same time. In a way, it fits the music of "Raised by Swans" very well. Still makes me sad to think about though...

It's a still/scene from the anime film "Grave of the Fireflies" that deals with a young boy trying to take care and protect his younger sister in the aftermath of the fire-bombing of their village during WWII. A powerful film. Well suited for this album imo Regards

I think its about falling out of love with someone, but waiting until you get it back. Through the scars you've loved about that person reminds you once again why you love them so. "orchids still frozen" probably symbolizes the loss of love (frost) but the memory of how to love is still there (as in the orchids are still there).
