Me and my sister used to see the Deftones ANYTIME ANYWHERE they would be playing here in jersey. It was “ our thing “. I couldn’t even count how many Deftones shows we have seen all together honestly. The day White Pony came out we waited in line at some record store hours from where we lived to buy the album , meet the band, and have them sign it. One of my fav days with her. She overdosed and died 2/27/2018 Now I listen and it’s so emotionally attached I cry most of the time. Thank you Deftones for giving me so many amazing and cherished moments with my sister ❤️

This was actually the 1st Deftones track I ever heard back in like 2007id and I was hooked but the video as simple as it is definitely gave it a bigger impact! I cannot listen to this track without watching the vid (unless I’m driving go figure) but yea it does have great replay ability hell pretty much all of Deftones does!!!

Deftones got my mother through some major stuff. She was admitted to a drug rehabilitation program and I have her White Pony to listen to. She said that's all she listened too and it helped her get straight and out. Sadly she died a year later and I buried her with all of the Deftones cd's up until 2012. She loved this band.

Well, this is my first time and this is awesome, I love it Edit 1 year later: I listen to the Deftones usually, almost everyday, they are definitely something more. They turned my favourite band since December 2021 and some of their songs get suck in my head all the day :D Some of my favourite ones, not in order are be quiet and drive, minerva, swerve city, riviere, rosemary, cherry waves, xerces, rx queen, change (in the house of flies), pink maggit, teenager or korea. Saw these guys at Ozzfest in '99, one of the best days of my life. What a line-up: Black Sabbath, Rob Zombie, Deftones, System of a Down, Slipknot, Static-X, Fear Factory, Coal Chamber, Pantera, Slayer, Primus, Godsmack, etc. My two friends and I were walking around during Sabbath and saw a couple of guys riding bmx bikes. One of the guys busted his ass and we started to laugh but then realized the two guys were Chino and the drummer (forget his name). At first they denied being who they were but after talking for a minute they realized we were real fans and then shot the shit w/ us for a good 10-15 minutes. Even gave us autographs!

Never listened to Deftones till I saw them live at a festival I really didn't want to go to.. been a HUGE fan ever since that day. Ive seen them twice since then and they only got better over time

after 25 years im still listening....and went back to school ..love you guys so much

You know that soothing feeling you get after crying that leaves you at peace knowing everything in life will be okay? I feel that emotion every time I hear this song -- truly beautiful.

I knew bout them for years but never delved into their music until this year. Their music fills me with nostalgia and that fire from adolescence. It's quite cathartic for me because of the arduous hours I spend at work.

Trust me, even if you know English, most Deftones songs are difficult to interpret. lol But this one is special and simple. You just want to get away from everything with a special someone. You want to leave your problems, your hometown, to just start again somewhere else. :)

The thing I love about the Deftones is that they always were and always will be timeless. Even with how they dressed, there was never a phase they can look back on and be embarrassed about. Always a class act.

Was homeless a few months ago... The Deftones sticker on my otterbox actually saved me from getting robbed/beaten on one occasion. They legit left me alone because I was a Deftones fan 😆

They actually tried to get me to come hang with their gang. Ran into several of them a few times since, they're always like "Deftones guy!". In retrospect I think they realized how big I am (plus a nose that's clearly been broken MANY times on top of the facial and knuckle scars 😆) once they got closer and were looking for a way to back-peddle 😆

A guy at my new job who trained me today played this band on the speakers and honestly, I love this band now

Man, that riff at the beggining, this was the very first band(and probably only?) to add shoegaze and dream pop influences to the Nu Metal sound back then. One of a kind.

+ReprogrammedToHate but also they added actual hip hop elements without the novelty of spitting shitty rhymes, only incubus was able to pull that off too. dreampop metal and rap. if someone said in 1993 they were gonna make a band like that no one would believe it. how did this even happen. we are so lucky to be hearing these sounds.

+James C the hip hop influence was only until Around The Fur(except for the track "Back To School" which was released after". And for Incubus, they were on their peak when S.C.I.E.N.C.E. came out, after that album they were starting to limit themselves by removing some flavours and influences on every album. Not complaning, just an observation because i still like most of their albums, incluiding a couple of songs from "If Not Now, When?"

I always loved these guys because even aside from the music kicking ass, they all looked so different it made you feel like you and your friends could make a band and make it 😂

Deftones were the soundtrack to my high school years. I was in Sacramento also and even drove the band in a Limo to a gig New Years at Golden Bear.

When this song came out I was still in college, and one of my best friends gifted me the cassette of this album! This was my favorite song, really takes me back.

I swear, these guys were "the shit" even before "the shit" was known as "the shit".

Shivers and trembles all over. This song is up there with the greatest. It also helps that I was going out with a Canadian at the time, and we drove from her home to New York for a week of adventure. We were both massive Deftones fans.
