this song guided me throughout my teenage years. i often felt so angry, so alone, i felt so much resentment towards my dad; his homophobic views made me certain that one day i'd lose any and all contact with him. and so i began to back away slowly, like a limping dog, so when he realized i wasn't someone he'd admire, i wouldn't even care anymore. at the same time, there is so much in me of him, and looking back i always had, naturally, this need for him to see me as someone he would be proud of. almost a decade later, the day i came out, he wasn't surprised, just sad because i hadn't told him before. i think, as a teenager, i started idealizing that day as a sort of liberation: besides not having to hide anymore, my relationship with my dad would be black and white, it would be "resolved" in a sense, even if that resolution was the loss of any relationship. instead, after all was said and done, nothing changed. the parts of me that are him stayed there. our relationship remained complicated. it was the first step, however, in allowing myself to love him again. to think of him as my dad, not someone who would ultimately leave me. that night, i listened to this song for hours. so that's what it means to me. cheers dad.

Veo los comentarios y todos son muy parecidos vienen por Chloe la mayoría y es raro por qué mi forma de conocer está ''banda" fue por una canción que tenía un pedazo de rbs en ella "Spilled More blood" creo que el hecho de que Alfin supiera la canción original me provocó más éxtasis al escuchar la canción. Recuerdo que la escuchaba varias veces al día y comencé a buscar más de el y fue como encontrar un tesoro tantas canciones hermosas una tras otra. Me encanta el trabajo de Eric, se nota su amor en cada canción, es un verdadero artista y todo un poeta, en verdad no hace ninguna canción por qué si, siempre tiene un motivo y eso es hermoso y en verdad me siento súper afortunado de haber encontrado Rbs en mi vida es como una bendición. for all the people who find this depressing, let me assure you that there is a very compelling argument for geocentrism (I mean, Einstein himself made it. it's all about that reference frame baby). I don't choose to believe that it's an infinite void, the universe is a lot cozier than people seem to think.
