My ex boyfriend introduced me into cigarettes after sex. I remember he asked me if i liked their and i said yes because i wanted him to like me more. I had no idea who they were and i looked them up and this was the first song that popped up. I fell in love with this band, we would listen to the band together all the time and this song was our song. I was so deeply in love with him he was the first guy i really did love while dating he was the most sweetest person ever. When we broke up I was devastated, he said we would still be friends but we never did. I couldn’t listen to cigarettes after sex after the breakup without crying, when they became popular on tiktok i avoided tiktok because of him. He had such a big impact on me. December of 2021 he unfollowed me and I couldn’t even hear the name cigarettes after sex without tearing up. Just recently this past three months i’ve been able to listen to this band and i’ve reclaimed it as my own. So screw daniel i can listen to this now without crying over him after two years later.

It's honestly a relief to be able to listen to this music after a devastating heartbreak and not cry anymore. Read everybody else's story and be able to recognize you've left that chapter of hurt behind. True validation that it's behind you and finally feel peace. Or at least most of the time. For anybody out there feeling like you're never going to feel peace in your heart again, trust that time's your best friend. I thought I was going to be stuck in my pain forever. This song is so profoundly beautiful... It deeply roots itself in your soul and demands to be played on repeat.

My ex girlfriend and I used to put on repeat songs of this wonderful band while we were smoking and hugging... I remember we made love for first time while Apocalypse, K and Affection were being played. It's been five years now since she left me and I still can't believe how happy and at the same time how sad makes me feel Cigarettes After Sex. I found this song 2 yrs ago and its still one of my favorites to this day. Its weird because I usually don't listen to this genre of music but this song was so beautiful I listened to the whole album. I'm so glad I found it I love this song so much.

It's so sweet that everyone is sharing breathtaking stories. I got inspired by it and made my mind up to share mine. Last year in school is the best time of my life, despite exams and covid breakout. I hopelessly fell in love with a guy who was 2 years younger than me. But he looked older than me. So handsome and laidback. He looked perfect in a white shirt. I will never forget his radiant smile and curious eyes. He lived with his grandmother since both of his parents left him. His grandmother is a lovely woman who did her best to give him everything. She liked me. We were friends for about a half of a year. But then everything changed in one night. I remember that moment clearly. It was like a stroke of lightning. He was somewhat strange and I liked it the most in him. He'd look at me for a while and then come up to me and say something really silly. His hands... He'd take his in mine and keep it just for fun. We never dated kissed, or even hugged. It was silent affection, which had no chance to develop into something bigger. We were different and incompatible. Even though I have never experienced something like this and never will. But he liked lots of girls. He was some kind of womanizer. I cried my eyes out every night because of him and begged God for oblivion. But two years have gone and here we are. Writing this since I bumped into a guy very similar to him. I couldn't help but stare at him. All memories of dances, shared evenings, careless school days came back in flash. There were lots of bad things like his disappearances from my life for months and comebacks like nothing happened. I know he didn't like me at all. But thanks to him, I experienced some kind of love. Maybe it was just a mix of hormones. But I don't care. I want to have a pure memory of him even though it's toxic...
