    I have a question sir. Does your clip type chain as good as an oem in high speed. Coz im planning to buy 1 and i'm worried that it might break coz i've heard stories about clip type chains.

    Are you using the "tool" to push/compress the link onto the pins so the master link will fit? Do the O-rings push the link back out if you don't hurry, or do they stay compressed? This was the "third chain" on this bike?

  • @cillion5

    @cillion5

    5 жыл бұрын

    The tool presses the outer plate on the connecting pins. Slight interference fit so the 'x-rings'/o rings can't really push the outer plate off. Yes it's the third chain.

    So the holes on the link are just a tiny bit smaller than the pins. Got it. Thanks. Good to see you kept the "safety ring" on the rear sprocket.

    Only way is to use a link so much better for maintenance . As for the ugly chain derailer that's the first thing I throw out. Chain is a little tight but a great vdo for newbies that want to do there own maintenance nice one .

    Isn't no problem on cutting the chain after installing it? I noticed by the video that both front and rear sprockets are JT, once front sprocket is 14 teeth and rear sprocket is 43 teeth and the chain is DID, is it right? If you could please tell me the chain specification, so I'll be based on it on my next shop.. Here in brazil the chain and sprockets kit comes with a big part of the adjustment "lost", my kit is 14.000 km now and has no adjustment anymore, so I'm searching hard for a good kit to my next change, so that it don't happen anymore. Thanks!

    I noticed you left the chain tension adjusters in a way that the rear wheel axle sat all the way forward. Is that necessary to do? I have the axle tightened down and the chain adjusters tight so that exactly 3 lines are showing on each side to align the wheel. Can I size the chain to this and then adjust the tension afterwards?

  • @cillion5

    @cillion5

    7 жыл бұрын

    M Modo I have four lines showing on adjusters. With a 112 link chain this provides good chain slack. The adjusters are about half way at this setting. Of course your mileage may vary.

    removing and installing the 6 rear sprocket nuts are pain. and if you don't have air wrench, front sprocket will spin with you even though gear put in 1st so turn it fast as air impact wrench. and when installing rear wheel you will need some kind of woods like cillion5.
