r/Maliciouscompliance Threaten Me? I'll Give You The Grade You Deserve!

Комедия

r/Maliciouscompliance In today's episode, an angry parent approaches OP (a teacher) and demands that OP changes a student's grade. The guy is screaming at OP while OP is trying to direct traffic after school, which is dangerous and just plain inconsiderate. Eventually, OP relents and agrees to changes the kid's grade... to something worse!

Dude, seriously! As a business owner myself I was getting heated and then "BOOM" curveball! OP's company has some ridiculous rules and their boss is a legend for exploiting that loophole. More bosses and managers should strive to be like that boss, rather than being corporate lackeys. Look out for your employees and they'll take care of your customers. The bottom line takes care of itself at that point.

Regarding the first story, I’m disabled (though not on Disability), and this angers me so much. When people like this manager are allowed to continue their “cost cutting measures”, they start to go after the clients. Disabled people, regardless of whether they have a job or get assistance from the government, have high costs in life (my medications alone cost around $200 a month after insurance). Many of us rely on non-profit services. OP sounds like the type of people we need in disability non-profits. I’m really thankful that the group collectively stood up to this manager, and the board backed them up.

That 2nd story did *NOT* go the way I was expecting, and I was pleasantly surprised at how wholesome it was. Good bosses are so freaking rare nowadays. My own boss where I work happens to be one of these rare "good bosses" that actually care about his group and I count myself lucky every time I read these. He's almost 70 though, and will probably retire soon (he literally only works there "for fun" - his words) and it will honestly suck when he's gone.

The last story, yeah they aren't going to be booking hotels anymore. My bet is that they wind up buying a camper. I also bet that it'll be her idea and there will be an "agreement" to never mention that hotel again. Wives are never wrong, just less right than they could have been. And don't you dare mention it or somebody is getting hurt, badly.

That’s what my family ended up doing. Got tired of using gross hotels in some really sketchy places, and then ended up with a camper. It’s super nice and convenient and the Camper parks you can find have some really nice people.

RE: the fire/hire story. In my active duty military career my unit was given a desperately import job to do between Christmas and New Years so a ship could sail January 2nd. My Commanding Officer submitted paperwork for a team award for the participating personnel. He could not approve it himself, and it didn’t count for promotions. It was denied. So, a bit of research found he could grant individual awards to the participating personnel that DID count towards promotion. That made a lot of people happy!

Telling him that I do not not appreciate being fired, so I would go elsewhere looking for work. Never mind, didn't see the rest before I wrote that. He is actually a good boss.
