They know other people don't care, but want to manipulate them into feeling bad and giving up something that the other person has that they don't. If the person had offered to sell the system I bet you the neighbors would have pour on the guilt trip to try and get it cheaper/free. The poster is entirely right not to give in. If they move an inch the neighbors will harass them for everything, knowing that they can get their way and the poster will NEVER get paid in full (or at all) for the system. It would be better to tell them to go fuck themselves and be done with it.

idk, i was really allergic to flower(the baking kind) and my granny feed me alot of baked stuff, me in my 7year old mind who was taking allergie meds 3times a day thought that it would be okay if i ate abit. My organs involving food processing stopped working and i was on a verge of dying for 4days, the doctor in the town where my granny lived said that its just bloated stomach and gave some meds for it. I almost died, my mom took me to the hospital as soon as she heard that my granny feed me that and that i could barely move for days. Almost died, the doctor in the city said ''one more day and she could have had a ripping and died'', yeah lets just say my granny never after that feed me anything which i couldnt eat, yet my younger cousin later had similar case as well.

I was in my late 30s when my wife made "friends" with an entitled B---- a few blocks down. This woman also believed allergies are a mental issue, not a physical one. I am extremely allergic to most berries. Some will made me just violently ill and some will kill me if ingested. One autumn she came over for a potluck dinner and brought a spaghetti casserole dish, tomato based sauce. Wanting to be nice I tried some. Has a strange taste. I asked what was in it and she said it was "family secret". About the third bite in I could feel my throat constricting. I tried to get to the EpiPen we keep in the kitchen, but by now my airway was completely constricted, I couldn't breathe. And I passed out. when I gained consciousness I was in the hospital. The rest is from my wife. The "friend" was yelling at me to get up and stop faking, even though I now have deep red splotches forming on my skin. She got the EpiPen, injected me and within about 30 seconds I could at least breathe a little. My wife called for an ambulance, all the time the "friend" is yelling allergies aren't real, I"m FAAAKINNGGG!!!! This B----- laced the casserole with a strawberry puree. As soon as the EMTs heard this, they grabbed the casserole as evidence. the "friend" at this point was trying to leave, WITH the casserole. End of story, she was going to get 5 years in prison for intent to cause bodily harm (the DA was originally shooting for attempted homicide). Her lawyer got the judge to commute the sentence to time served, full restatutions for all my hospital bills and time missed from work (about 2 months), some punitive damages, 1000 hours of community service, and to never be within 500 yards of me or my wife. She sold her house within 2 months and moved to another section of town.

Part of growing up is learning you can't everything you want. In fairness to the OP he'd presumably been on good terms with the neighbours previously if the neighbours took delivery of parcels for them. It wouldn't have been so bad if the parents had asked once if OP would sell the PS5 but accepted it with a good grace when he declined.

Pretty sure he makes his videos in advance because the dead line of one day to make the video to post the next day would be too much and he needs his days off too. He probably has a few made in advance so he can just post them and not have to work everyday.... At least I would do it that way.

I have oral allergy (Oral allergy syndrome is caused by allergy antibodies mistaking certain proteins in fresh fruits, nuts or vegetables for pollen), and I have it against quite a few things: Sunflower seeds (this one is the worst of them), walnuts, bananas, melons, honey, oatmeal and a few others I can't recall right now. My mother wouldn't take this allergy too seriously until recently, when she said "I'll put the walnuts so small in the cake you won't notice them". It was then when my younger brother came to my aid and said "It's not about the size of the walnuts' pieces, but the fact that they are there". She finally understood, and that day she made an extra cake without walnuts so I could eat too. She's amazing.

Last story: I would call it "CHILD ABUSE " plan and simple because op was bleeding around the mouth for some reason and no medical attention was sought by the mother. Isn't it the parent's responsibility to seek medical aid for the visiting child if something "might" have been wrong?

What really got me PO'd about that last one is that there are allergies that are 100% fatal.

They're the type to be spiteful af from what they did so they're going to complain and ruin the guy and his fiance's happiness even if he sold his ps5 to the parents. best thing to do there is to collect the fb posts and gather evidence of them spreading slanders about the couple and sue the family for Slander and Libel. It's honestly disgusting how people are so spiteful that they'll ruin your life over their own incompetence tbh. If we disregard the law and fall to their level (mind you, this is fucked up), I would pay a gang to beat up the kid (maybe break a leg or two) and put the kid in a hospital for a few months. Then pay the gang to trash their house and break their properties to teach them a lesson, while also hiding drugs in their house and calling the police on them for having access to illegal drugs. It's not really a morally correct thing to do but it's not like that family cared about ruining the guy's life either.

While I agree with all but the last, I don't think the fiance was "easily" handing it over. I doubt they would want their partner to be hurt by the fact that they had to give up something they liked. But I don't think constantly getting judged by everyone in the neighborhood makes it easy. In the end, nothing is peaceful in this situation, and any ending would've made some party mad. And, I am glad they didn't give away the PS5, and that they didn't cave.

I had a Karen try to tell me my dust allergy wasn't sever...she blew dust in my face, had me blinded for 1 day because of the allergy attack and 2 days later i was still unable to see due to sensitive eyes (blind basically for 3 days) and almost had my throat closed.... the money we sued for was used for medical bills and a trip 🤷‍♀️

So I'd like to share 2 entitled people stories that happened to me. Both are short and unsatisfying but I want to let out my anger. The first one happened when I about 5ish. Me and my Mom were at a small beach. We were minding our own business when this crazy lady walking by starts yelling at out of nowhere. I was obviously scared so I started crying and hid behind my mom. After about 5 minutes, the crazy lady walked away walked away. I asked my mom what just happened and she said, "Some people just do really mean things." The second story happened when I was eleven about a year before Covid. My family was on a trip to Hawaii over Spring/Easter break. On Easter day. there was this event where all the kids would search for Easter eggs. There were 2 sections: One for little kids, and one for big kids like me. There were also golden eggs that were rare. I was looking for eggs when I overheard this: Karen: Look K! Is that a golden egg? I rushed over and sure enough, there was a golden egg. I reached for it but Karen stopped me. Karen: WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU!? Me: What is wrong with me? What is wrong with you!? Karen just laughed and walled away with K and the egg Karen is in the wrong because A) K looked to young to be in the big kid section. B) It's her fault I overheard her and. C) She GRABBED MY ARM TO STOP ME LIKE WHAT ON EARTH LADY?????? Hope you guys enjoy these stories and if either of you Karens are reading this, y u bully me.

I'd be turning that "responsible adult" crap back on them. I'm not the responsible adult that promised their child something they can't follow through on. I'm also not the adult responsible for that child. Personally, I'd love to have PS5, and I do what I can to follow the drops and get one for myself. But I'm also not angry at other people for getting them. Just the scalpers for artificially creating high demand, and the asshats that brag about getting one or claiming to have gotten several. Those are people being dicks just because no one can punch them in their faces.

I don’t have Reddit, but I wanted to mention this. One day I was just playing Roblox, which is a game with many other games inside of it, and others can make games inside of it, probably not the best explanation but I tried. Anyways, I was playing a game and it was basically a would you rather and you could insert your own would you rather, so I made one that said, would I rather play Minecraft, or play Roblox? And my favourite game is Minecraft but I play Roblox sometimes, so the answer is Minecraft, but then immediately after, this kid started saying “then go play Minecraft instead!” And I was playing with some of my friends and they responded and said “huh? They are playing with friends though” then this some of the entitled part, “MY DAD MADE THIS GAME, AND I WILL BAN (insert my username here)” and instantly I was like “okay, if this is real ban me from the game.” And they typed in the /ban stuff and then they said “ it will ban you in 100 seconds! You need to have some fun before you are banned.” Then 5 seconds later typed “wait, FINE I WILL UNBAN YOU” and typed the unban command WRONG. And yet I was never banned. Then in their custom would you rathers, where “ban (insert username here), or slap (username here)” and at this point I knew this was just an entitled kid who honestly didn’t like the fact I was playing Roblox instead of a different game. I have no idea why this kid felt like this was a bannable problem. XD Have a good 2021!

I've never understood this, what parent makes a promise about a Christmas gift or any kind of gift for that matter, when they don't already have it?!? That's just setting yourself and your kid up for disappointment, don't promise if you don't already have it in hand!! My 7 year old wanted a Rubik's cube lol.

Similar to the entitled grandma story, I've got an entitled daughter story. After my parents divorced my mom met an older man (about 15 years older). They lived together for over 20 years without getting married. As his health declined, my mom got power of attorney over his finances (his idea), and eventually they did marry. After he died, his daughter sued my mom, saying that my mom spent her dad's money ON HIS MEDICAL CARE, and that they weren't really married since her dad wasn't in his right mind. So the daughter was expecting that my mom would spend her own money on caring for someone that wasn't really her husband (according to the daughter). In the end my mom caved and gave the daughter $30k to make her go away. Insanity.

That's why my parents never promised me anything in certain day. They always say "Look, we can't buy it right now, but as soon as we can, we'll buy it for you, ok?" (I'm still 16, but since a very young age I understood that sometimes I can't have what I want when I want, and if I really want something and my parents said they're not buying it now, I wouldn't throw myself in the ground and cry. I always said "oh ok then, can we get chocolate?")

@@velvety2006 in this case is complicated. I mean, one thing is wanting something someone can't provide. Other is be able provide it but getting something cheaper just because is "convinient". I'm not the best judge on this, since I don't know your siblings financial situation, but if they are on a comfortable situation, a little effort to get a good gift for the cat, especially if they know you really value it, wouldn't hurt too much. But as I said, every situation is different and I'm not the best judge for it.

I am the one with a lower income, don't get me wrong I don't expect something on a kids party that is very expensive, dollar store yarn makes me very happy but if someone says 'it was picked out with care' then I do expect something that is linked to my interest or something I can use. Not an ugly paper bag for the 3 weeks they park their pet at my place so that they can go on vacation.

No matter how entitled his neighbours are, no, they are not going to be the least bit concerned about Social Services (the equivalent of CPS). Yeah, there's a list of fruits and vegetables that digest as a latex protein, so if you are allergic to latex you can have allergies to those fruits and vegetables & unfortunately potato is on that list. Found this out the hard way. :-(

At my last part time, this guy came in saying he spoke to someone that was supposed to be holding a part, but we didn't know anything and didn't see the part on the counter. Towards the end, the customer demanded "isn't anyone going to apologize?". I and the store director just kept our mouths shut. We both just offered to check and see if we could find it again. Mind you, he might have spoken to the store a few miles away. After he stormed out, I told my manager that there was no way I was apologizing since I know that's just going to lead to me having to stand there for another ten minutes while he ranted. My manager said that's exactly why he didn't either. In my mind, you're not a customer anymore once you refuse solutions, so I'm only going to do enough to get you to go away as fast as possible.

I have something that happened today, but i don’t have reddit so i’ll just share it here. We went shopping in Auburn in Sydney, when we decided to take Prestige Cabs, the man was nice and helped us out. When we arrived back at our home, my mum said, “Why didn’t you go back into the driveway for the parking?” The man replied, “We aren’t allowed to go into the basement.” I thought to myself that it was a rule for Prestige Cabs, i tried to tell my mum, and she just ignored me, “you could have at least gave me a thank you?” She replied with “There is no need to be rude.” She started to lose her patience. When we got to the elevator, i told her about them not being allowed to go into the basement and i was surprised she said “well i see other cabs do it” basically meaning others should too. Leading to now, typing this up. Hope my mum realises.

The parent who fed the kid potatoes despite being allergic. If someone ever did that to my child, I'd kick their ass into next century.

The only reason that 7 year old kid found out about the PS5 is because his parents were stupid enough to talk about it in front of him. I'm no gamer, so I couldn't care less about a console, but emotional blackmail is bang out of order - OP's neighbours need to grow the hell up.

I actually wouldnt be surprised if the parents told him to go tell the neighbour he wants the ps5 just so the parents themself could play.

In the last story she definitely had to call the cops, that was insane, that woman deserves to go to jail, her kid will be better of growing without her.

As a kid, I really hated Christmas because my parents couldn’t afford to celebrate it. Now that I’m a full grown adult, I celebrate it with my sisters ❤

If I was OP in the ps5 story, I'd tell the neighbors "you're right, I got a change of heart and gave the console to a poor family" xD

A bunch of people didn’t get a ps5 this year like they hoped what gives that guy the privilege to say their kid deserves one for Christmas because Christmas is all about the kids even though it’s not. 😤

2019..the average cost of toys given to kids on christmas was 100 dollars I was shocked of all ages added up 100 was the average..during my christmas :O give me some candy and that tin box of popcorn and i'm good maybe 1 game is fine and some clothes. Course my family found out i didn't like expensive gifts when I was younger and prefered more practical things I can use.

"I'd love to give your son my PS5, but unfortunately when I was taking it out of the box I sneezed all over it. I tested positive for COVID later that day. Such bad luck!"

Just say you dropped it and it broke, then play it with full volume moments later so the neighbours know you lied.

"Video games are for children" Tell that to Hitman, Cyberpunk, GTA, Watchdogs, COD, and so many more brutal/mature themed games.

"Allergies are only real if you let them be." She has clearly never seen someone with a sever allergic reaction. People like that make me furious.

So intentionally feeding someone something that they were told was an allergy is chemical assault which,i think, has a longer jailtime than manslaughter

Basically, someone should have killed the endangering mother.

Screw that neighbor for using his son as a means of trying to guilt the guy out of the PS5, and for trying the “too old for video games” crap. For saying that they promised the thing and ruined the kids Christmas. Screw them for turning the others against him. And NEVER GIVE THEM THE PS5!!!

If that was my neighbour, I would uhh, let's just say they would doubt their own sanity

My buddy bought a PS5 and his entitled neighbor kept pestering for his nearly new PS4 pro because "You don't need it anymore" and he did what the commenter suggested the OP say he did, he donated it with tons of kids games to a local children's hospital. They actually have tons of consoles now because he started a trend, we went up there to help them hook stuff up and watching those kids light up was incredible and the anger in his EN's eyes was the cherry on top.

On the last story you see that OP has a SERIOUS allergic reaction and the EP does nothing about it. Reminder: This child is vomiting, has blisters in their mouth and also bleeding from the mouth. Now that child is in danger and the EP has done nothing. Now as RSlash looked it up and stated that it could count as assault. But I’m saying it may be able to be Child Endangerment due to the fact the child was IN DANGER and EP did nothing. (Side Note: Child Endangerment is a felony and could be charged with 1-10+ years in prison.)

'You're right, I should be thinking about the children, just not YOUR kid." The perks of being a person who isn't that kids parents is that it's none of your business what the kid wants for Christmas. THEY chose to have that kid, not OP.

Did anyone imagine the child running in circles, spongebob style, screaming it’s not fair?

That PS5 story could've been avoided OP had just said that the parcel was a custom present for his Mum, or a something a friend sent him. You never tell the truth to a neighbour.

Obviously he thought he could trust them if he has them picking up his deliveries. And Obviously there was no way he could anticipate that the parents would respond like that.

I asked the same question on another channel a while back when they read this story, but I'll ask it again. What kind of SEVEN year old needs such an expensive console? It would make more sense if it was the parents who wanted it.

My 7 year old nephew usualy has a under current gen console ...basically cause his dad always buys the next gen console and then hands it down. At the same time his 14 year old brother plays. Yet my 7 year old nephew is kinda funny when he plays because his hands can't fit the controller completely so his hand and eye cordination is pretty off its funny seeing him play but eh when he gets bigger his hands will adjust to the size of the controller. I don't think they really need up to date console either.

I just listened to the video about the OP who is allergic to potatoes. The friend's mom told her allergies weren't real if you didn't let them be real. OH MY GOSH! I had someone tell me the same thing! I am allergic to peanuts. One time at dinner I did not get a serving of one side item. My friend's friend told me to try it. I said I couldn't because I was allergic to peanuts. He said allergies weren't real and I was sick because I was a fussy eater. I had never eaten a meal with this person before in my life. I didn't even say anything about a side dish that had peanuts. There was zero reason to attack me or make it seem like my allergy was his problem. I seriously don't understand some people. Btw, he had not prepared the side dish. It wasn't like he made it and was upset that I wasn't trying it. He was just being a jerk.

For the PS5 story I just would have been like "Look you people are stupid for expecting me to give something that I worked hard for (as you know how difficult it is to get a PS5) to your son just because you promised him that he'd get one. Relying on others giving up what little they have for your family is horrible parenting" *shut door calmly*

In that last story, what that mom did definitely would count as Gross Negligence Leading To Bodily Harm.

The parents that were trying to scam a PS5 for an eight year old need a dose of reality. They are saying someone old enough to buy a PS5 for themselves should not play a games console with cert 18 games? While wanting to give an eight year old a console that is being sold for over a grand. They are idiots that are trying to avoid scalpers prices by conning a neighbour! Nothing unusual about being a childless couple that is how all parents begin. The women that feed an allergen to a child needs to be in jail.

Even then what games are worth buying a PS5 on launch right now that he can't get anywhere else. Can see maybe Call of Duty and Spiderman being the only worth while games

Regarding the PS5: The kid learnt an invaluable life lesson in disappointment this year. Their parents can always buy one from a scalper on Ebay so it's not like it's impossible to get one in time for Christmas.

For the PS5 one, I would have told them yeah I'll sell it but I want the money first, and that will be $1000 dollars. If they actually give me the money, I would have broken that thing, and then given it to them. Said "Thanks for the money, now I can go back purchase me another one and some games! Have fun with yours!'
