    As horrifying as this story is, I want everyone reading this to take note: what the husband doing is gaslighting. Not just lying, not just keeping the truth obscured, but doing so in a way that made his wife doubt her perception of reality. THIS is gaslighting, a specific form of mental abuse that actually means something.

    The term 'gaslighting' is way over used nowadays, so I'm glad you're pointing it out here. This was absolutely a real case of gaslighting thanks to the husband trying to convince OP that she herself bought the clothes and dressed the daughter, on top of everything else that he claimed was "all in your head"

    I feel like what OP’s husband did is gaslighting in its pure form. OP knew everything he said wasn’t true, but he still managed to convince her it was. I would say it’s insane how she fell for it, but I have ADHD and the same kind of thing can happen to me, even without any outside influence. If I ever ended up with someone like him who exploited that weakness to make me believe complete lies, I’d be gone in a heartbeat.

    The first story the husband is total trash. The husband's sister internationally left those tampons to either implicate Fiona as an affair partner or to otherwise get op and her husband to break up. Which good for OP, worked. And now there's a good chance the father and his sister will never be able to see those kids again. I'm so glad that OP stuck to her guns in her suspicions and is keeping her kids safe.

    The fact that she was possibly trying to break them up is terrifying, because the husband could found the footage, erased the evidence, have convinced the judge that op's mental health and false accusations made her an unfit mother, and gotten sole custody of the kids. 2023: The regulatory body further calls BetterHelp to pay $7.8 million to consumers as a part of a settlement over allegations it shared sensitive health information with third parties such as social media platforms and digital advertisers. The FTC says the company doubled down on deception by falsely denying it had shared consumers' personal information - including their health information - with third parties. The eight-count complaint details how the FTC says BetterHelp's allegedly deceptive and unfair practices harmed consumers. The professional KZreadrs, who shared personal mental health struggles as part of their ads, faced backlash when it came out that they were paid for each customer who signed up for BetterHelp through their unique links-sometimes up to $200 per person. Do not trust the BetterHelp therapists. They are so sketch," said O'Hara. "My one session with a BetterHelp therapist retraumatized me to the point where I don't know if I'll ever go back to therapy again." O'Hara alleged the therapist was confused by her diagnosis of CPTSD (complex post-traumatic stress disorder), seemingly not understanding what the term meant, and expected the patient to describe the differences between CPTSD and PTSD.

The husband was doing something bad that he knew OP wouldn't agree with and instead of coming clean about it he made OP think herself crazy to cover his misdeeds up. He is such a tool and his sister wanted him to tell OP about her hence the breadcrumbs she laid. If they really wanted to reconnect why couldn't they leave the kids out of it!? because it is not what the sister wants she wants to be forgiven right away for everything she did and have access to the kids as almost "proof" she is "not really a predator" when this is 100% predator behavior! If the husband really wanted his sister back in his life he could have done that openly and without putting his kids in harm's way but that would have been too to logical...

    Unfortunately, yes. My dad got every other weekend in the divorce, despite (among many other things, including an affair) having his buddy, a registered child sex offender, babysit us on multiple occasions. While I don't remember being molested, when it came up in court, the judge waved his finger at Dad and said, "Now, you really shouldn't do that." That was the extent of his punishment.

  • @Urrarg

    @Urrarg

    8 ай бұрын

    It's honestly unlikely a judge would side with the dad because even sketchy judges don't like addicts so "I left my kids alone over night with a known drug addict" is not going to go over well even if that person wasn't also convicted sex offenders. It also sounds like they're in the US, so even if a judge did make that ruling there's the Court of Appeals. And they don't tend to have a positive view of parents who knowingly bring children around registered sex offenders (nvm leaves them alone overnight unsupervised with one). They either deny them custody or remove their parental rights altogether for that. There's almost no other outcome once a custody case hits the Court of Appeals when a registered sex offender and children are involved. Especially when the sex offense itself involved children.

    Man I hope she gets a good lawyer and judge for her case... I 100% agree the aunt does not get to be around those kids, esp not while they're still that young, and the husband is a sack of excrement for not only encouraging it because "family", but also actively hiding it from his wife and gaslighting her so she can't stop them. However, some law systems also take the "but family" approach. I know a couple who took in their nephews and niece cause their mom was doing drugs and bringing sketchy guys around. The boys were older (young teens) and had to get moved because they were bringing pot in the house, but the girl was just 2. They adopted her, but her mom still has some rights. There was a lot of fighting because she was allowed shared custody, even though there was no proof she was clean. Still had sketchy guys around, and the girl came home with bruises or acting secretive, like she'd been told not to tell. The mom recently had a baby boy, and the BABY tested positive for drugs in his system. But the courts here are all "bond between mother and child is sacred", even at the cost of the health of the child. I'm not sure what the custody looks like now. I try not to pry, most of what I know is being an ear to vent to when things get frustrating. Pretty sure the baby was taken from her care. I'm hoping her rights got terminated, but given the flaws in the system it wouldn't surprise me if they STILL ruled she has visitation.

    1st story - a tampon in the car is usually an accident. A tampon in a sock/underwear drawer is a purposeful notice from the cheater to the victim. So the sister meant to do this. Next point: the husband is "high on the list" of people that the sister needs to make amends with? She molested HIM. Wrap the tampon incident with this and this takes an ugly turn. Now - the onesie incident is the WORST. The child had to be undressed and then dressed in the new one. This takes a dark turn in the light that it was done by an incestuous child molester.

    I don't often comment on these, but DAMN!!!! Story 1: OP's hubby is a World Class gaslighter-- he actually had her second-guessing her own sanity/intelligence/etc. Bad enough... but the man was acting as a PIMP for his own children to satisfy his sister's sick desires (whether she made any physical contact with the girls or not). She got to play "dress up" with one of the kids-- at the very least-- and the kids' FATHER sanctioned it! Sick! Gotta wonder... was he getting some "side nookie" from her for all this? If so, MEGA sick!

    Story 1: I agree that Cheating was somehow the _better alternative_ to this situation. And personally, I wouldn't have even called the spouse, I would have (hopefully) called the cops only and told them "A registered sex offender and child molester is going to this house with kids, her name is (blank) and she's supposed to be 2 states away and be stuck there.". Calling him gives him a chance to delete the footage and destroy evidence. Having the police show up and arrest the sister gives proof that it happened. Story 2: If OP was my girlfriend, I'd be the stay at home husband/caretaker. I'd learn to cook, clean, and do everything else so that she could focus on her job. But no, turns out he was a leech.(Edit: I can cook and clean, but I mean I'd take the time to perfect the habits and skills)

    I see people on other videos comment stuff like, “the biggest dealbreaker is cheating!” And I’m like, “uh, nope, there’s worse.” This story is an example.

    As someone who lives near LA, I can’t help but laugh at the ex bf in the last story God freaking luck finding a decent place to live when you’re unemployed and only play video games. LA is insanely expensive and unless you make really good money you either have to live with 4 other roommates or with your parents if you want a roof over your head. I would not be surprised if he moved back within a year

    First story: I'm a fan of the growing "justice against your local sex offender" movement. Last story: my ex-bf was really big into controlling me. In the last two years, he tried to make me believe that my child is a problem (he hates children or at least finds them inconveniencing) and frequently kept telling me what I will do after I retire in my career in the next five years. He wanted us to move to a state where I'm even further away from any family of mine, no friends, just a home maker who also pays the mortgage cause of my retirement pay. The guy wasn't using me as a beard, he is bi, but felt more connected with his bf (he is poly, I'm not) but loved me for the passionate hugging. Fuck people like that.

    Your Story: Sounds more like you loved him for the passionate hugging, while he loved your money and/or submissive behaviour. Like, why does it take one 2 years to break up with a person that obviously tries to subjugate you?
