And she didn't even prove her point he went back to his fiance, and I don't think he's going to be helping with child support for this one, so all she proved was he has her wrapped around his finger. I’m a cynic on these things. So, imho, she didn’t tell him because the ex was blowing her back out on those visits as well. When her kid spilled the beans that dad had been over. She then went into full damage control about the details. I bet if OP confronted the ex. Then the ex would laugh and rub it into his face about smashing his girl on your bed. That story brings back a story that my mother loves to tell about my first few years doing trick-or-treating. I had a form of selective mutism when I was young due to an abusive father, and only spoke to the people closest to me that I specifically trusted. Apparently, on Halloween, I would knock on people's doors and whoever would open it would receive a pointed stare while I just held out my little trick-or-treat bucket and swing it back and forth until I got the candy. I can't remember from that far back since I would have been a toddler, but according to my mother, the entire neighbourhood was apparently in stitches because the little girl who was dressed up as a cat could keep in character. Apparently, I did this until I was in grade one where I finally found my voice. Honestly, trying to remember those years are extremely painful, so I don't much like to think about those days. Especially since I remember my bio dad being an absolute monster.

What would her response be for a child who is deaf or has some other disability where speaking is difficult for them? Let's be honest here, I suspect that even if OP's daughter signed 'trick or treat', this woman would still have refused to give her candy because she doesn't believe in disabilities and how those disabilities impact communication.

I was devastated about my baby but I knew for a fact that at that point in my life I couldn’t provide what I wanted to for my children. Especially not alone! And my BD wanted NOTHING to do with it or me and ended up getting married to a woman o didn’t know he was engaged to the day I had my abortion.🙃 My point is, I made that hard decision because I knew my family would help but it would have been so unfair for me to expect hand outs from them or free child care etc. It’s not fair or easy but you have to do what’s best for everyone involved. What happens if baby had a birth defect?? It’s a horrible thing to have to think about but that makes a big difference in adoption sadly. I didn’t want to worry that I made the wrong choice every day or have a child out there who didn’t think I loved it. @@magical_pixie_horse7346 mostly agree, but can't agree that most using it today have malicious intent (not saying you said that, but it is implied)....as for the other. Living apart kinda is how races form...it juat takes, forever to happen, and with tech what it is, likely is impossible (on earth) to actually differentiate enough now...otherwise I agree

Story 1: The most most messed up part of this story is that this sister cannot afford the child, but at no point does it even remotely occur to her that she should terminate the pregnancy. She's just been brainwashed that keeping it is the normal thing to do.

Story 3: NTA But is anyone else concerned of the fact that the girl is 21 and doesn’t even have a GED?! She must’ve been 100% convinced that she didn’t have to do anything in life but to be her father’s mooch. That is extremely concerning behavior OP😨 I don’t suggest even talking to her

I can relate to the last OP, I have kids, 2 boys who are non verbal, and one who has autism. Fortunately people around here are more accepting, plus these kids are criminally adorable, and infectiously happy.

This is why when you move into someone else's home, they have the power to kick you out, and it's worse when they have kids, cause when you violate someone's trust it's a stupid move. Be smart people don't move in together til you're married and in a home you're both on the lease she was at fault her,

Bad advice. You definitely want to move in together *before* you get married because that period of time living in the same area will tell you if you’re actually compatible with one another. If you only move in after you’re married, then you have to go through divorce if and when you realize you can’t stand each other.

@@Tustin2121 That's bad advice. If you have kids which she does, that's going to send a bad message to the kid(s), cause they won't have a good relationship with anyone true though with marriage to, just depends on the couple.

That last story really hit me hard. I’m autistic and in my younger years was nonverbal is certain settings and situations, one of which was daycare. I was only silent when adults were around and would talk to other kids just fine. One day I guess a teacher took it upon herself to fix me and demanded I speak in order to get a certain color toy. I pointed and made clear what I wanted but she refused to give it to me. Naturally I cried and that memory is still etched into my brain as trauma. Side note: trauma depends on how an an individual experiences something. While that sort of situation may have had little to no impact on another person it was traumatic to my tiny autistic child brain.

Right? Like, full support to her: sometimes you gotta go to war. But, in this day and age of social media and things going viral, it annoys me when people are like "I had no idea this would blow up!" Of course you did; that's why you did it. Otherwise you would have just grumbled to yourself and then moved on.

Full size candy bars? HA! I give out books. The experienced kids skip saying Trick-Or-Treat to just calling out their grades so I can give them an age appropriate book at the right reading level. Points to Anne Rice. When she learned of my doing this about 32 years ago, she sent me 50 autographed book plates to put into her books. I have collage kids coming by because they have been coming to my house since they were a baby in their parents arms.
