She was already on the throne for 11 years when Kennedy was shot. She reigned through 14 presidents. Truly the end of a (looong) era.

To play devil's advocate, most of them probably joined BEFORE the Oath Keepers made the "hate group" list, so they'll most likely be "grandfathered" until the end of their current enlistment or, in the case of officers, eligibility for promotion. But any of them who actually were at the 1/6/21 "Capitol Tour" should be court-martialed for knowingly violating their oaths.

What's really scary and we should really be concerned about is that there is something very serious brewing beyond the public view. Law enforcement officers, military personnel and people holding political office being part of this group, may not be be a new thing, but only now exposed. What's scary is how their memberships in these groups may have influenced their work and what agendas they have collectively. America came out of a great period of hate and discrimination, if only partially, after a great struggle and while it may seem that the haters were defeated, we definitely have not changed their mindsets and their want to stay the superior race. These white bigots are slowly losing their grip on power that they enjoyed for long and would go away peacefully or without making a final stand and that's what Trump supporters are doing. Trying to overturn the election results is a very clear indication of this. America needs to make amends for it's past and it cannot afford to take a soft approach towards that. These mem and women who swore to uphold the constitution must be brought to justice and be used as an example to make any future members shudder at the thought of taking an oath with these groups . Sadly this country has a dark history and it's going to be a very tough job.

Queen Elizabeth II - may she rest in peace. I wrote to the late Queen eleven years ago and she responded. I still have that acknowledgement. Imagine that, and I am not even British. I have written to other leaders, including President Biden, none of whom acknowledged my correspondence. Her response to an ordinary person is what made her great and I shall always be grateful to her for doing that.

I just want to say regardless of how you feel about the queen, it is incredibly bizarre to hear someone living in a democracy in 2022 proudly say "Long live the King".

Not really, there are 43 constitutional monarchies in the world. Pretty much all of them very stable and content countries, including UK, Spain, Japan, Norway, Netherlands and Malaysia. I'm do not agree with your premise that being 2022 this is bizarre. It is a political system that works exceptionally well for those that have it. A non political Head of State that unites as opposed to divides, as what happens in Republics.

They said the Oath Keepers, have cops, and military in their gang. They swore a oath. To their branch of service, or law enforcement. Brothers spilling blood of brothers, who also swore to the same oath. How dare they! After they attacked their own on January 6. Dishonorable, to say the least!

Yes. Article 3. But it has to be enforced. And most of the evil people in the oath keepers who should be subject to that won't be prosecuted because they are white. And most of the prosecutors are, too.

Companies have no business making decisions about employees healthcare, they shouldn’t have the expense either. If we want competitive pay we need universal healthcare. Companies should not be responsible for employees heath care, it’s so weird that we do things like this. I feel bad for small business owners that can’t afford that expense which affects the retention of skilled staff, and positions larger companies at an advantage.

The company contribution requirement for healthcare is the single biggest suppressant to Americans creating successful small businesses. If you have to cover full medical and emergency care to your employees and don't have enough employees to argue heavy bulk discounts, your narrow margins become losses. (And that's not even getting into how the whale's share of those heavy costs are the direct result of the lack of a national system to begin with!)

Yeah, its not hard to see tying healthcare to who you work for easily becoming extremely abusive. And it has been extremely abusive, just recall the number of people who refrained from voting to unionize at amazon simply because amazon threatened that they may cut benefits.

I just found out my great grandma has also passed just today. She was also in her 90s. I definitely didn't expect her death after all the long years she's been fine. It's unfortunate, but I guess it's bound to happen since her mental state has been deteriorating for the past few months. I'm not sure how to react. It's surreal seeing someone who seemed perfectly healthy for ages become increasingly sick in just a short time.
