That's why I love listening to speeches from the UK parliament.
That's an insult to Dobby who is pure of heart and a real hero. His loss made millions of people bawl like babies, including adults.
Born in the U.S. to parents with Swiss and Turkish ancestry, he had the gall to expel legitimate immigrants (who had lived in Britain for decades, and had citizenship), and very few people saw the irony and hypocrisy.

Notice how the number 1 British Foreign Policy is always, "Stay close to the Americans". The entangled relationship between America & Britain is a very peculiar one. The relationship started with rebellious, united colonists waging a war of independence against a large colonial Empire + a second revolutionary war (War of 1812). Now, the United States bails out the British when they get caught up in a World War or an economic crisis. And, the United Kingdom fights alongside American soldiers in every US conflict (except Vietnam), and is ALWAYS the first ally whenever America is rocked by tragedy -- like on September 11th, 2001. We even think about their leaders in pairs; FDR & Churchill, LBJ & Wilson, Reagan & Thatcher, ....
