Pt 14 Installing Windage Tray & Oil Pickup Tube Clearance - 5.0 Stroker 4.6 Teksid Engine Block

I finally received the correct Ford oil pan gasket/windage tray (PN: BR3Z-6710-B). I have to say that it fit very well with the boundary pickup tube and the Moroso oil pan. There was very little clearance needed. Oil pan to pickup tube clearance is also adjusted in this video. I have seen pans too close to the pan cause engine failure so make sure that measurement is taken seriously.

Just installed one on my 04 Explorer block with stock Mustang oil pan and Ford 4V oil pump/pickup. I had to cut off the two finned baffles in the pan, scrapper from the pickup and then trim the windage tray for the pick up to clear. Thanks for making the video!

Welp as soon I wrote the first message I saw the part you cut the back tabs! I just put my engine back together with the same windage tray and had to do the dame! Thanks for the videos!
So Modmax I guess recently released one for all 4.6, 5.4 and 5.8 and in trying to find videos or anything on it, and I cannot. I've ordered it so I guess I'll see how it goes. Lol

What block are you fitting it on? I have an iron 5.4 I would like to use this one- does the mod max one require any trimming?

Will this oil pan clear tubular k on sn95 ?

Yes, this pan, and most aftermarket pans, should clear all tubular k-members.
