Go subscribe to Finnegans channel, he still does normal videos somewhat similar to the type of stuff you saw on roadkill. His channel has gained so much attention from everyone ditching this one.

It may not be a "Roadkill substitute" but no one is, and thats not what everyones mad about. Multiple series people enjoyed on the channel are all now strictly pay 2 view. Finn's channel is the next closest thing

Roadkill Garage has never been free. (With the exception of the first episode) All of Motor Trend's former KZread shows can still be watched for free.

You can watch the 3rd latest episode of all of Motor Trend's former KZread shows for free. No subscription, or account required. If you are outside the US, you'll have to use either a Proxy, (Such as US Web Proxy) or a VPN, (Such as Hola) to gain access to the free website. (Until Motor Trend finds a solution to ad support outside the US, which they're currently working on)

Probably few months ago... I understand, that is their jobs, they have to make some money, but they crossed the line.

I have to admit I've had an M/T subscription since it's inception, but ever since Discovery got involved it hasn't been the same. It seems way to corporate now.

Man O War The latest episode of Engine Masters, the turbo LS build was just awkward. Weird product placement and edits. You can tell there was some banter that the corporate overlords didn’t like and was chopped out. Or they had to edit it for time so they could throw in an air cleaner commercial.

BlindBatG34 I watched it too, and the way they fit the filter comparison into the episode was just kinda...off.

Frankly, they removed my favorite shows like Road Kill & Dirt Every Day from this channel, I see no reason to even be subscribed to it. There's a good reason that KZread Red failed so miserably.

Build a KZread loyal viewer base..... And then leave and try to convince people it's better and that they should pay for what was once free. What a shame

Removing the ability to see the number of thumbs up and thumbs down on vids is not going to hide the fact that MotorTrend stuffed up and this channel had tanked. No one and I MEAN NO ONE! wants to sign up to apps which already have ads just watch more ads of the stuff they actually want to watch. WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?!

There's no since in paying anyway. The app don't play videos correctly. The website doesn't play videos correctly. So why pay and waste ur money. It's a shame too, I love engine masters. Just can't view videos anymore.

BARBARRIER yeah. I was thinking of getting the subscription, but the videos don't play nice, the website is a mess, the player is a resource hog and now I can't even watch anything, because I'm outside of the U.S. And my VPN has been blocked. It was fun while it lasted, but this can all die in the fiery inferno it has become.

interesting i have been going through this with my recent ls1 swap I have to run an aftermarket pan to clear my front subframe. I was getting oil out my valve cover breather my Canton racing oil pan says to put 6.5 quarts in but if I run just under 6 I dont have oil out the breather I also drift this car so oil gets sloshed around like crazy. I do like that the pan has 4 trap doors around the pickup to not starve the motor when cornering

First roadkill and now engine masters? This is stupid and pisses me off

I accidentally put 2 1/2 quarts extra in my 400 sbc and the biggest issue was that it spewed out through the front and rear main seals when I went for a drive. What a mess!

A friend who is deep into ford tech tells me a big part of his success with his small block windsor is a scraper to keep the crank from wearing too much oil. Hadn't ever heard of such a thing before but sounds interesting. What do you know about this ?

I have a milodon 8 qt pan on my 455 pontiac. If I run it with 7 qts in it. It has noticeable power difference.

A engine needs very little for lubrication. The main job is to reduce heat. A highend synthetic oil can do both.

Have they deleted all Engine Masters epis from youtube or something? I downloaded them to a HDD as they came out upto ep 26 or so and now I cant find them on youtube...

I wish MT would stop the previews on KZread. But I'm not gonna hate on them for leaving. I just hate being reminded constantly that they're gone.

Sooo... I don't see it on KZread but I have motortrend ondemand and episode 35 if accessories could kill, I was really hoping to see the age old AC compressor debate too. Also, the likely answer to why it made more power with colder antifreeze temps when it doesn't affect air inlet temp, you guys had some hypothesese but I believe it's a more similar concept to why F1 cars are hooked up to machines to get fluids to running temp before starting. Piston to cylinder tolerances. F1 cars are so tight, the cylinder is seized around the piston cold, it won't fire. Similarly, even though street motors are of course made with bigger clearances so they can start cold under their own power, it still applies. Heat expands, cold shrinks. No coolant flows through the piston itself so it isn't affected as much by cold, just heat. They expand hot, same as the piston rings (which are less mass and expand more, as we saw with the nitrous episode) but the block itself running cold is tighter, smaller cylinders, less blowby, more focused energy. Just my theory... And F1 engine manufacturers... Something most people don't think about though unless you're getting crazy with power and/or efficiency

Channel is great but posts are inconsistent. No one is paying for entertainment with hundreds of channels providing for free.

Motor Trend is no longer uploading their primary shows to KZread. They must now be watched on Motor Trend's website, or mobile app. However, each new episode after episode 29 can be watched for free for a limited time. (4 weeks) Unfortunately, the window to watch episode 31 for free has closed, now that episode 32 is free.

For a head to head you should do the Lamborghini Huracan Performante vs the McLaren 675LT. I feel like that would be a good matchup

Yeah I'm good, I'm not going to pay to watch videos. Like the ones that came out a month ago should be out in full version but they aren't. Than I love how they disable the comments on most of the vids

When you guys launched Motortrend OnDemand I was not apart of the hate that came your way. I thought it was a good idea for you guys to make more money by offering early viewing of KZread content and other car shows available for those willing to pay. I wasn't going to pay for it, but I like that the option was always there for more content and faster content. BUT you guys really need to bring these shows back to KZread. No one wants to add one more subscription or website to the list that they already watch/pay for. KZread put these shows on the map and KZread will keep them alive. I'm sure your viewership has tanked and it will probably only get worse. I have KZread red and I don't intend on paying more money just to get car-show content. And I also don't intend on using your crappy video hosting and streaming to watch these shows, even if it's free! I'm sorry but you really need to get back on KZread, because I imagine I'm not the only one who has ditched your content. Please bring it back!!!

I tried to watch an episode of Dirt Every Day on your website, but I couldn't get past the advertising. The advantage of this medium is that its not television....back to back advertisements every 10-15min is ridiculous. Dinosaurs will die.

Just received an email from MTOD saying my account will be cancelled and a refund given for the rest of the year, apparently they wont be operating in my country anymore, no more roadkill, roadkill extra or Engine Masters, feels odd not to be wanted, wonder if I get a refund on the shirts I brought.

Either put the full episode on or just don't.

Motortrend did a really poor job explaining how the epesoides will now be on motortrend on demand for free.

Remember when they used to upload full episodes and average 10+ times more views? yeah...
