nice, I was taught back in the day to put the wiggla at the 12 position to act as a bleeder if any air was trapped inside to prevent a delayed pop on the stat. been doing that for 25 yrs. Learned something again today, keep up the great work

There is a lot of controversy surrounding this. The factory service manual from Toyota says 6 o clock. While a Haynes manual will say 12. I’ve done both ways on other vehicles. I was just sticking to what Toyota recommended from the factory.
fine job. fine heart.

It’s been running phenomenal! Thanks for watching I appreciate it!!
Thank you for showing this. Very helpful to see it with the engine out like this. I’m chasing a coolant leak on the top of the oil pan (on the corner in front of the oil filter), so I’m thinking the water pump possibly - although it was changed a couple of years ago. What did you use to clean off the surface after pulling the WP gasket off (as well as the bottom of the water inlet you mentioned cleaning)? Thanks!!

No idea. All came in kit.
Is it necessary to do a coolant flush after this?
