Primitive Black Paint from Manganese Dioxide
I refine a chunk of manganese dioxide found at an abandoned mine into black paint using a crushing tool, then mortar and pestle, and finally levigation. The end result is paint used for painting primitive pottery.
Note in the comment section that manganese has toxic properties. Please use good judgement in handling this and any materials in your workshop.

Well done useful Video, I wish you success
A viewer correctly pointed out that Manganese can be toxic. Take appropriate precautions like wearing a mask and managing your environment. Also Manganese is an accelerant so fire precautions should also be taken.
Good video. Consider adding links to the 2 Amazon products referenced.
I like your way of doing it. Sure cleaner than my dremal process for sure.

After some hundreds of years we finally get validation: "Black Paint Matters." Thank you, Sir!
