Matt doing the chimney cleaning made me think back 30 some years when my son (also named Matt) had a chimney sweep business. He was a career firefighter, so heights and fire were second nature. He found a tuxedo coat and top hat in a second hand store to wear and he always presented the lady of the house a red rose. 😂

I can sit for hours and listen to the both of you talking. I think you 2 are the most real people on KZread. You live a very rewarding life. The best folks in the world are country folk.

I’m anxious to see how you and Matt will take a break when it’s too cold for popsicles. Maybe a hot chocolate break. 😊

It never gets old seeing you two together, it's a heartwarming sight. I can tell you why there are so many bees around the Deer Hunter....it's because he's so sweet!

Y'all make me miss Granny so much. I go on about my life but when I hear you talk about language, and you say things she did...it trembles my heart...another of her sayings. It makes me slow down for a minute & be grateful for her. Bless y'all.

I feel like we had a porch visit. A good porch visit. The first frost is always a bitter-sweet event. Godspeed to you all!

Hello from central Texas! I love y’all’s popsicle talks! It sounds like my people talking. We’re a huge family of Czechs that settled here in the late 1800s. Just plain country folks with simple tastes and a huge love for God and country. Thank you for sharing your family with us…some sanity in this world gone cuckoo. If enough of us remember how good most people are and how good the simple life is, we have a chance to keep the donkey out of the ditch. ❤

It's amazing how everything you and your family do is so much like my people in Kentucky did. I could close my eyes and swear I was listening to kentucky folks. My father used the word directly all the time. We moved north when I was nine but daddy and my stepmother still talked like that. We always had garden food even after we moved and cornbread or biscuits. I am so glad I found your Chanel, It's like being back home.

I can hear my grandma as plain as day, telling me, "Tell your mama, I'll be there directly". Dang, I miss her....and mama, too. Fall is my favorite time of year and today this video is the first real excitement of it all to come. Real nice video. Matt is a very good commonsense man, hard worker with a good size sweet streak. I'm just very happy you two found each other. Blessings for sure.

How great it would be to "sit a spell " and have a chit chat with yall. My Dad is in his last years and has worked hard all his life and raised 10 kids; 9 girls and 1 boy. He now rolls in the wood for his 1st fire. His knarled hands can no longer pack it in. His hard working hands are forever in my memory. Battered and bruised but always loving. I enjoy listening to your memories of pap.

It’s a good feeling when you can get so many things done in the same day. I’m like that myself it gives you a good feeling of relief, an accomplishment. Things that you know will have to be done, sometimes we dread, but when they’re done were so relieved
