@@osakarose5612 so you expect a business to absorb shipping costs? that's a quick way to go broke. Capitalism dictates a yearly increase in profit. Capitalism dictates and you suck it up....
"Looks like I'm eating rations for Lunch" Too many post-secondary students can relate. 😂😂😂
It's very forward thinking of the Japanese companies to develop such good tasting emergency food, considering that Japan is earthquake and tsunami prone. It would definitely help the recovering public a lot to have available nutritious AND good tasting food.

My last night in Japanese my supervisor wanted to treat me to dinner. He asked were I wanted to go. I said we could just get some Yoshinoya. He was like, oh no we should go somewhere nice, and we went to a nice sushi bar. It was nice but secretly I was like, I really wanted some gyudon.

Whaaaaa, I love saba!! Classmates would complain about the smell when I'd have it for lunch, but ehh, I love the taste of the ocean. These cans look super nifty, even cooler than you can just have them straight out of the can without heat.

My happiest moment is when I get notifications from Emmy 😭❤️ I wish there’s new video everyday from you. Love you Emmy!
I love these emergency rations videos, Emmy! It looks like this one was a total home run for you!! I would taste all of the options you tried, except the mackerel. I am NOT a fan of fishy tasting, oily or fatty fish. I absolutely love all kinds of sweet succulent shellfish and I'll occasionally get a bit of a hankering for a good deep-fried cod, grouper or haddock "a la fish fry basket" with some lovely crispy golden fries and lots of tartar sauce - but as far as salmon, trout, mackerel, dark tuna or any other "fishy" tasting fish, I just can't do it. Oddly enough, as a little kid, I used to love sardines, kippers/herring and lox as well as several smoked fish varieties, then at some point, I guess my palate changed and now that I'm older, those flavors are darned near repulsive to me. I do use anchovy paste in certain recipes but you'll never see me order a pizza or a caesar salad with whole anchovies as my hubby is very fond of doing. My cat adores mackerel though, so I suppose if there was ever an apocalyptic occurrence and we had that same variety of Yoshinoya canned food rations on hand, Henry would be as well-fed as we were! LOL

Love Paul! Great video Emmy!
I've only tried a few different Japanese ration type foods, and while they may not always taste as great as some other countries' rations, they have consistently been better for you (less salt/sugar, more health conscious) and just consistent in the quality. Also, the whole concept of donburi is my favorite thing ever, and I'm especially fond of oyakodon or even just tamagodon. I love egg. 😆
