probably one of the worst types in the game, yeah; weak to: fighting, fire, rock, steel resisted by: fire ice steel water resists: only itself (lol!) supereffective against: dragon (i mean... ok?) flying grass ground the odds are so stacked against it it's not even funny, even bug is defensively better and has almost as many supereffectives, it's just resisted more too

If you want a game where Ice types are good, you play Gen 1, Gen 8, or Pokémon GO. Any other mons game involving Ice types or an equivalent (e.g. Xenoblade Chronicles 2) will always have Ice types suck.

Reminds me of how I used to play as a kid. I would act like "all floor has ice physics" in many games, including Pokemon games but also in real life I would try and navigate around using only cardinal direction ice physics. I think the ultimate motivator for that was this WildTangent game I played called Slider. I even ended up making my own ice physics based puzzle game. Really cool to see it actually as a mod.

Okay, so you know that sound Alpharad's water bottle was making? I thought it sounded like a dolphin pokemon cry! So I made a fakemon for it based on a water bottle. Its called Bottleknows! Bottlenose as in the dolphin species, Bottle as in water bottle, and knows because Bottleknows are very intelligent. Bottleknows is a water/psychic type, with the ability poison absorb. It makes it so Bottleknows gets powered up by poison type moves instead of hurt. Bottleknows like to collect trash in the ocean and use it as decoration, jewelry, and housing for their communities. Bottleknows even use money in the same way humans do. Bottleknows appearance is a navy blue dolphin with a white bottle cap from a plastic bottle stuck on the tip of its nose, with the plastic rings used to hold cans tied around its neck as a necklace. It also has a pale blue stripe along the middle of its body. Jeez I loved writing this. You're free to draw Bottleknows but please credit me and alphadad both!

People out here talking about how linear Regions have gotten while completely sleeping on the puzzles in Pokemon games, they're nice. Even the Gen 6 ice puzzles that you can cheese just by going diagonal.

Ice puzzles are definitely interesting and required the player to think about their pathing. I think the only puzzle I hated as a kid was Sky Pillar... because I could never get the bike puzzle timing down and needed to repeat it so many times.

You know what. Pokémon but it’s all dark. Flash guy also doesn’t exist, and Flash is hidden near the end of the game.

Just the thought of how you would traverse the Sootopolis City Gym with Ice Physics gives me *chills*

I like to imagine the boy scout at 9:54 looking at the player then quickly looking away as an "oh- what? okay" and then he's really nervous about this boy just standing mere inches away from his nose so he keeps looking at him and then away.

I tend to sumarize pokémon into 3 things: battling, petting and exploring. Battling is self-explanatory, but it also includes some non-combat things like breeding, EV soccer and battle tower knock-offs. Petting means stuff like contests (and related minigames), pokéathlon, pokéstar, Amie, camping, avenue, mantine surfing, etc. Exploring sounds simple, but it might not be so: dex filling, travel logistics, treasure hunting and some other minigames like secret bases and sinnoh underground. Whether it's competitive or nuzlocking, most pokémon circles only care about the battling part while GameFreak itself cares about the petting part but also battling cause it's what the majority of players do, while exploring gets less with each generation. Ice physics everwhere sounds amusing, but I don't think it's enough for me...

This thumbnail is just perfect! 🤣 Also, at 9:45 hearing the sudden, loud onset of the Route 112 theme after the calm and quiet Lavaridge town absolutely sent me! Such perfect comedic timing, he just realized his mistake and then the timpani/kettle drum just hits like a truck! 😂

Man I been seeing this guy pop up for years and am just now really watching him. So witty!

Work should totally continue on this, imagine if all future ice types were added, and perhaps the ability to force an NPC to move rather than waiting for them to move themselves. It'd make for a really fun mod. (I will say I loved the idea of making the Starters ice type, that was simply a stroke of genius)

Great idea for a mod, turning off the ice physics for indoors and grass is a good choice also to make it playable

Your Pokémon content made me want to get back into Pokémon and I started with a random move, evolution, typing, just literally everything random, and it’s been a fun time. really increases replay value
