In an older version of the game, a full malaise bar would actually just kill you but the whole malaise function was entirely different then.

The most hardest situation if you have high/ full malaise is in closed space bonus biome like in prisoner quarter or the bank. Toughess enemies become non stop respwaning, normal mobs have more higher rate to be elites, enemy instantly teleport, Enemy teleport can pull other enemies surrounding and one enemy only need 1 hit to destroy your hp.. Boss can delay their attack so make them harder to react.

The giant is immune to a lot of status conditions and effects. The first time I unlocked the repeater crossbow, i was doing really well and then I took it to the giant. It quickly became clear that it wasn’t going to end well.

​​@@kill_5witch Actually, in the old version you get Malaise from being hit instead of rising by itself. Your health is also capped by 10% per level, so level 1 Malaise = 90% max health. And you'll just straight up die at level 10. You can cure it with normal foods, potions, syrups, and Necromancy. Also, if you want to see the effects of the Malaise in detail you can pause the game and look for the "info" menu. It actually effects a lot more things than just enemy damage.

Try going through the biomes a bit faster. But defeating the Concierge should significantly reduce the malaise bar, so you have nothing to worry about. As long as you having fun playing the game

7:20 I died the same way (kinda) my health was low and he pushed me inside the spikes so I pressed heal and realised that I should get out but my controls got soft locked for healing and I died to tick damage... A perfect 2bc run in the drain....

Hey Anaz 01. First, thanks for watching the video. Now let me explain what's happening in the video. Dead Cells has difficulty levels which are earned when you beat the game while on each new difficulty. So for example, if you beat the game on normal mode, which is 0BC, you unlock the next difficulty, 1BC. If you beat the game at 1BC, you unlock 2BC and so on. If you are lucky enough to get to 5BC, the game introduces a new mechanic called the malaise. Which is an orange little bar that pops up just above your health bar. The longer you take to kill monsters in a biome/level, the more the bar fills up. The higher the bar gets filled, the more damage you take, and I think monsters get tanky too. Some monster randomly transform into elites too. Also, monsters randomly spawn at your location. Basically, it's a mechanic that makes the game more difficult at 5BC, if you play it slow. So in the video, I was experimenting what happens when you let the Malaise bar fill up. I wanted to know if the game becomes significantly tougher, if you loose health over time or if you intantly die. I proved the game becomes significantly tougher. I hope you understand all that, Anaz 01. As for the damage number design, it's because I'm using the Baseball Bat. It's as simple as that. Hello there. First of all, I wanna thank you for watching the video. Now, let me explain what the malaise is. The Malaise is described as a virus that has been infecting the island within the Dead Cells world, and the main cause for the current state of the island and its inhabitants. The malaise mechanic is meant to make the game a little bit more challenging. The malaise meter has 10 tiers. At different tiers, monsters get different buffs. Early tiers will make random monsters spawn at your location while the latter tiers will make enemies hit harder, and random monsters promote themselves to elites. I hope this answers your question.

No, it doesn't. If you have the Clean Cut Update, you can change your head from the normal homonculi head to the bobby head, on some skins. That's how I got the bobby head on the skin.
