I'm definitely going for Option 2 - 'Remains of the Day'. If ever there was a book to illustrate the saying 'still waters run deep'. this is it. It's a deceptively leisurely read and by the end it's possible to think "Well, what was that all about?" But the attentive reader will be aware of those deep currents and passions (emotional and political) that permeate the whole work. It's a book I enjoyed the first time I read it and I fully intend to re-read it when opportunity arises. However, whichever work wins out in the voting, I'm sure you'll do a great job of describing your reaction to it in a future video. Kind regards, Brian.

Thank you so much for voting 🤗 I really appreciate it. I really love the way you've described this book Brian. You've definitely sold this book to me. Even if it doesn't receive the most votes, it's a book I definitely want to read. I think if you know going in it's a slow burn you can then get the most from it. All the best. Take care 💛

The only one of these that I have read is Remains of the Day, and I would definitely recommend...so I am voting for that one. It is a slow burn but such a touching and beautiful story. It was my first Ishiguro and I now consider him one of my favourite authors. Enjoy, whichever one wins 📖

The Remains of the Day for me, I recently reread this and it is completely wonderful, one line in it is such a heart breaker. I have 2 of Kazuo Ishiguro 's books in my all time top ten, they have been there for years, this one and Never Let Me Go.

Ooh, now I know how hard it is to vote because I’m finding it hard to choose! 😂 Remains of the Day is a slow but excellent, thought provoking novel. Dear Mrs Bird is quick and delightful! I have to vote for the Elif Shafak book as I gave it 5⭐️; I loved the themes within it, especially of friendship. But I love the sound of the other 2 as well! 🥰📚
