Piers Morgan vs Norman Finkelstein On Israel and Palestine | The Full Interview

Piers Morgan Uncensored is joined by author and political scientist Dr Norman Finkelstein after being one of our most highly-requested guests to cover the Israel and Palestine conflict.
In this interview, the controversial Jewish scholar answers whether he condemns the attacks by Hamas on October 7th, explains some of the historical mistreatment Palestine has suffered, the conditions of Gaza, an explanation and context for his seemingly inflammatory tweet in reaction to the October 7th attacks as well as some more nuance conversations about the intricacies of the conflict between Israel, Hamas and Palestine.
He also tells Piers he saw he had 'humanity' when he watched him judge Susan Boyle on Britain's Got Talent - before comparing the singer to the people of Gaza.

The end of the interview gave me goosebumps Piers asked him how his parents (whose families were wiped out in the holocaust) would have reacted to October 7 He answered: “It was unthinkable that they would have a kind word to say about Germans… I accepted, that given their life experience, they had the RIGHT to hate the people who destroyed their lives. And the people of Gaza have the RIGHT to hate the people who destroyed their lives”

Here's the practical reality: If Palestinians/Hamas laid down their arms, they could live in peace with the Jews. If Israel/Jews laid down their arms, the Palestinians/Hamas would exterminate the Jews. And that's a fact.

As I began watching this lengthy clip interview, I realized I saw it before but decided to watch again for some insight I may have overlooked before. I watched it to discover that as tears blur my ability to read my own words here, I found something of immense value. Why were my eyes troubling me? They were telling me something. That there is hope. As the debate closed, the fact that a conversation could exist that allowed for the suffering of others, the word humanity was being trupempeted from a frail body that breaks my heart to admit, I seldomly recognize. The courage to be a voice for the Jews of the Warsaw ghetto and the Gaza concentration camp Arabs, is just humbling. Humbling to its core. One where truth and courage share the same space. I don’t often appreciate Piers, but like Susan Boyle showed us, take the chance life gives you.

Finkelstein offered no material in this debate. Absolutely nothing. He simply justified the murder of civilians as a result of oppression. He quite literally could have said: "the burning alive of whole families who have nothing to do with the blockade of gaza is justified because these people were angry about their oppression". This is like saying that it's ok for a falsely accused and convicted prison inmate to break out of his cell and murder the entire family of the guard and the judge that have oppressed him. It's ridiculous and there is NO moral equivalence.

Piers Morgan, if you were one of those Palestinian, if you were in THEIR shoes, you would get the point Finkelstein is making. You would go to the same lengths, you would commit atrocities! You are expecting people who were born and will die in concentration camp conditions to behave with dignity. You are expecting people who are treated inhumanely to behave humanely, you are expecting people who are persecuted, hate, confined to a ghetto to fight a war according the Queensbury Rules. I understand the point Finkelstein is making; he isn't condoning the atrocities he's accounting for history, background, context, namely that none of this occurred in a bubble, he acknowledges what happened on the 7th was barbaric, an act of terrorism, but when you are an oppressed people, as the slaves were, when you are treated like your life is of no value, that one Christian or Jewish life is worth more than a thousand Muslim lives, you will be stripped of all humanity, you will hate your oppressors, you will do to them what they have been doing to you for decades, so don't try to suggest that you would retain your humanity in that situation because you would not, I would not! You speak of Finkelstein's intelligence, that you can comprehend that a man of such intelligence can reach such conclusions, well I fancy you consider yourself an intelligent man; as such, I cannot comprehend your inability to imagine yourself in the shoes of those Palestinians! If you were born into that environment, knew nothing else but living in that environment, you would behave exactly as they have....FACT!

Dr. Finkelstein was my professor at NYU. I was only in my late teens back then (I'm now almost 47) but he is still the greatest teacher I ever had (and put all my other teachers at NYU to shame). The lessons he imparted to me resonated profoundly throughout my whole life. I still quote John Stuart Mill often to this day (a favorite philosopher of his). He was not just a supremely decent man but had the most integrity in a person I've ever encountered outside of my family. The older I get, the more I can appreciate his vast inner strength and greatness of character. Norman, if you are reading this I hope you know I am so grateful all those years ago for always being such a kind, warm-hearted, and profoundly positive role model for me. You truly make this world a better place and raise my faith in humanity. I love you very much. You deserve such a better world than this one...but I guess we all do. Despite such tragedies in this fragmented world, I hope all of you reading this have a wonderful week.

Literally denying Palestinians whole abusive existence under Israel in order to justify a psychotic religiously fanatic Israeli government in furthering what they've always done. Israel get caught red handed lying, like they have multiple times long before Oct 7th with terroristic style mentality/attacks & what does piers do? Refuses to acknowledge/talk about it & refuse to let anyone else talk about it either, then starts throwing the terrorist supporter label around again & refuses to answer a single question. Piers is the most manipulative weasel I've seen in a long time, aside from Netanyahu. Piers is the stain of a wet fart, along with his beloved hate preaching racist liar Douglas Murray. Piers is also one of the biggest contributors to the 'culture of fear'; a technique used to control the masses through perceived fear. I won't 'admit' & don't 'have to admit' untruths & play into psychopathy. Normal people's first question would usually be 'why did this happen' but we're not allowed to talk about that (according to Piers that makes us the same as Isis, al queda etc rather than human) meanwhile, look at world war 2, you think they UNDERSTOOD what was going on before engaging? This time it's narrative & shut any humanity down -> engage. Did you see the way piers was looking at the prof? He's full of hatred, it's in his beady eyes. Why? Because the people who have actually been victim to Israel & their monstrous ways, their stories don't fit piers current narrative of 'hero Israel, terrorist palestine'.

He sees this conflict as a conflict of sides, and as someone who dedicated his life to the side of Palestinians, he would never accuse them of any harm ever. 2. He is a Marxist, not a Human's right activist even. He sees the world as divided to oppressor and oppressed. And if you paint someone as oppressed they can do no wrong, and if you paint someone as oppressor they can do no right. 3. He doesn't care about the Palestinian people, he cares about a Palestinian state. He thinks Israel is illegal and illegitimate and must be destroyed. He would let Hamas take over because he hates capitalism more than he cares for human rights.

Norm Finkelstein is a liberal communist Jew who hates Israel and hates other Jews, because he believes only the communists are right. WRONG! Finkelstein said the holocaust is a Jewish money making scam and the holocaust never happened. WRONG! Gaza is not a concentration camp, Norm is a guy who sits behind a desk and reads anti Israel news sources. Norm agrees with Pro Palestinians that chant, "Gas the Jews." According to the U.S. Census Bureau International Database data estimates that Gaza's Palestinian population increased from only 265,800 in 1960 to 342,700 in 1970, 431,600 in 1980, 645,100 in 1990, 1,1 million in 2000, 1.5 million in 2010, and 2.1 million in 2023 and that it will rise to 2.4 million, 2.9 million in 2040If Gaza is a concentration camp, how can the population of Gaza grow so much? Palestinians use little birth control or awareness of it. Average family size is 5.6. On the contrast, 1,1 million people, mostly Jews were sent to Auschwitz concentration camp, 99% died, unlike the Gaza population growth is increasing dramatically? So how can you compare the two? So Norm Filkenstein paints a picture that everyone in Gaza is sent to a concentration camp and is gassed to death like the Jews died in Auschwitz. The West Bank and Gaza together have 14 universities, an open university for distance learning, 18 university colleges and 20 community colleges. Did Auschwitz concentration camp have universities for Jews before they were gassed to death? Israel previously issued more than 18,000 permits allowing Gazans to cross into Israel and the Israeli-occupied West Bank to take jobs in sectors like agriculture or construction that typically carried salaries up to 10 times what a worker could earn in the blockaded Gaza Strip. many of these people in Gaza spied for Hamas and Iran which gave them the intelligence they needed to carry out the terrorist attack on October 7th in Israel. But of course the attack on October 7th was done by the JEWS, but they are all evil and all Jews LIE!

He called 7th October a "slave uprising" on Michaela Pettersson show. So deluded. He cherry-picks facts to make the palestinians look good when they have been the aggressors for the most part. Gaza has had such an explosion of population growth that USA would have had 1 billion people with similar growth. Of course this leads to all kinds of problems: young people commit 90-95% of the violent crime in countries all around the world and IQ actually drops as early as the 3rd and 4th child because parents simply dont have the time. No wonder they vote and support extremists. Palestinians created their own misery. Everyone with open eyes living in Europe these days should know how arabs are anyways. In Sweden we pretty much never had gang rapes before arabs (and africans) got here. And if you understand the implications of a group crime like that, well its all you need to know tbh.

I've been following him for some years and maybe you've learned this by now, but in case you haven't, Finkelstein's paid a very high price for his advocacy. Years ago, he debated Alan Dershowitz, a noted Jewish-American lawyer and Zionist apologist, on a program called DemocracyNow! Finkelstein absolutely destroyed Dershowitz, and Dershowitz saw to it that Finkelstein was cast into the wilderness. To this day, as brilliant as he is, he can't get a secure job in academia. Seeing him rise from the ashes lately has been glorious. It's particularly gratifying for me, and hopefully for him, to see so many Jews protesting _against_ the occupation, which was unimaginable years ago. I credit him with with that broader awakening and emboldening of antizionist Jews, like myself, who themselves have been in the wilderness for so long, shouted down and shunned by fellow Jews.

The only thing I appreciate about Piers is that he is giving people a platform to speak out and to educate the mass population. Sometimes it seems like the things that Piers cannot say he brings on a guest who will say it for him. The average life span in Gaza is measured in decades; the average life span in say a place like Majdanek or Auschwitz concentration camp for example; was on average measured in days - in a place like Belzec death Camp it was measured in minutes; 45 to be exact. Gaza is a concentration camp? I don’t think so. I was watching some footage of the bombing in Gaza and I remember seeing a late model Mercedes crushed under some rubble; thinking, if it was mine I might have got in that and headed South and what a waste of a nice car. The only people driving a Mercedes in Majdanek and Auschwitz were the SS, certainly not the Jews. Gaza the concentration camp where you can drive a Mercedes Benz........Gaza is a concentration camp? I don't think so. I'll tell you what places like Majdanek or Auschwitz didn't have; they didn’t have tunnels constructed out of concrete in which to escape; running water ever, no food, or clothing or personal possessions; no heating or air conditioning; no privacy at all, because there were no apartments or houses in Majdanek or Auschwitz; no places of worship, no place of burial if you died from the daily gassings, bashings or torture. Gaza is a Concentration Camp? I don’t think so. No hospitals, unless they were doing medical experiments on you - they had brothels, so there was plenty of rape. Gaza is a Concentration Camp? I don’t think so. Concentration Camps don't have an elected government nor do they have a budget nor opportunities to say how the money is to be spent. Concentration camps don't have shopping malls, 4 star hotels, food courts, a zoo, theme parks jewellery markets (unless you count the Jews forced to work removing gold from teeth pulled from the mouths of the dead from the gas chamber or removing the precious stones stolen from the jewellery of the gassed Jews) high cost housing areas, a coast with beautiful beach frontage, schools, sporting facilities, etc etc. Gaza is a Concentration Camp? I don’t think so.

@@scottcleland4793 I see you replying to so many comments with this one copy pasta. I want you to think about what the term concentration camp might mean in the 21 century, where there is instant access of internet and increased globalization. There is a war in Ukraine right now, undoubtedly horrible, but many people are confused about why some Ukrainian civilians are going back to Ukraine every month to meet their relatives, get their nails down, bring new cars from Europe. Does that mean that Ukraine is okay? No, not at all, it`s in a terrible state of invasion by Russians. But in our strange world in 21 century this kind of things are commonplace. If Israel would do slavery in conc. camps as horrific as Nazis did, it would be instantly criticized by the world. It couldn't do explicitly terrible things before October 7 because it knew the world was watching. But they would do everything they could get away with, including controlling every aspect of human life in Gaza. For instance, they kept most of the citizens hungry (Starvation plus package) so that most people would be just fed enough not to die. Half of Gaza population has never experienced a feeling of a full stomach. They would not allow Gazan's to leave to another countries even when they were in urgent medical conditions. Call it a concentration camp, an occupation zone, open air prison - the state of existence in Gaza was kept purposefully blurry to avoid any responsibility in front of the international humanitarian law. But after October 7 everything changed - they were now presented with an opportunity to 'solve the Palestinian question', aka to wipe out or expel the Palestinian population once and forever. This can be evidenced by numerous genocidal claims made by the official Israeli government over the past two months.

“The word apartheid is exactly accurate. The Palestinians cannot even ride in the same roads the Israelis have created or built in palestinian territory. The isrealis never see a palestinian except the isreali soldiers. The Palestinians never see an Israeli except at a distance, except an isreali soldier. So within palestinian territory they are absolutely and totally separated. Much worse than they were in South Africa btw. The other definition of apartheid is one side dominates the other, and the Israelis completely dominate the life of the palestianian people.” - Jimmy Carter
