Little moral of the story here... a real story! I was bullied at school okay? Like different groups of people teying to hit me every time... and nobody did do a single fckin thing. But once i choked one of them in the lunch break, the janitor took me to his office. I told him what happend and asked him why i couldn't defend myself. He said, i didn't see anyone hurting you... while every time i was attacked he was right there watching...

Piers, many people around the world have called for a cease-fire in the Hamas-Israel war. The impression I have is that these calls for a cease-fire are one-sided; they expect Israel to "cease-fire", without any pressure on Hamas.. Has it occurred to anyone that if Hamas surrenders, and returns all hostages that there will be a permanent cease-fire? I have not read or heard anyone other than Israelis articulate that thought. How is it possible to negotiate a cease-fire with Hamas, an organization whose representatives have stated that Hamas wants to repeat the atrocities of 7 October again and again? Why don't we hear people demanding that Hamas surrender and return the hostages? Has it occurred to people that if Hamas cared enough about the lives of the Palestinians, whom Hamas represents laying down their arms would end the bloodshed? Who sees the proverbial "elephant in the room"?

No one defended Hamas. The problem is that you automatically interpret defending Palestinian human rights and calling the violation of human rights against them as defending Hamas.
