Peperomia prostrata- String of Turtles. Care tips and propagating.

This is a short description of how I take care of my turtles and how I effectively propagate them.
Here is a link to my 3in white seedling pots I use for propagating. And they do have holes in the bottom!

I love the way you talk to yourself. I say the same things. I have often called myself a "dumb bitch" for the same reason. I only have about 10 baskets of Brazils. I propagate them like crazy but just about won't give many away. Thanks for the "Turtle" prop tips. Just got a couple of them. Noticed that if I even think about looking at them they shed a couple strands

I totally LOL'd. Backed it up to see if I wasn't imagining and then LOL'd again. Keeping it real! 😁 I just received my Turtle plant and it is 3/4 DOA. Dropped about 75% of it's leaves. Can I propagate from just leaves? Already contracted the grower. The soil was very wet and I really think that is what did it in. It was packed with heat packs and wrapped really well with pillow stuffing, tape, paper wrapped but I have never seen anything like this with one I have been sent.

I'm gunna point my humidifier near them (I just got em). I use it during winter. It's been down to -44°f in my area so it gets really dry heating the house. A humidifier will help big time for people in colder climates.

I hope I can save my turtles now. Thanks for the video. They are just slowly dying at the moment. I looped the vine back onto the dirt and put it in my bathroom. It gets medium light but is fairly warm so I’m hopeful!

Great video! Hello from the San Bernardino Mtns in SoCal! I've been daydreaming about gardening somewhere more humid. I just bought a string of turtles recently and It's growing, but its poor little turtles are very thin. I have it near a humidifier now so here's hoping! 🐢💚

Hi Crystal. My string of turtles were the same. Small and flat.. someone suggested misting it. After I misted they plumped up and became very firm. Now I put a large bag under my hanging turtles and mist until the water is dripping off. Good luck. 🐢

How long does your greenhouse get sunlight? Also how cold/cool could they tolerate because I think it's only 50 in my small greenhouse

I just got two strings of these. Can they take a light fertilizer like ro water with a small amount of worm/compost tea? I'm using a fine spray mister to do that and its on a quick draining substrate of peat

If they haven’t rooted then I wouldnt advise that! If they are rooted then I would move them to soil and spray the soil with any fertilizer. Their soft textures can’t handle fertilizer on their foliage.
