Could listen to Kevin’s stories all night!
When I hear him doing the bit about all the (catholic) kids and 30 year old grandmas it reminds me of the scene in the film Gregory's Girl where Gregory goes out of the front door and is stepping over hundreds of young kids bawling their eyes out as he walks down the garden path :-)

Must be nice. I'm an American working in Japan teaching ESL. I can understand most Irish, English, and Aussies. I have been trying to work on the Scottish accent which is one of the few that I can't master yet. Some of the things he says too fast I think, some are idioms that I don't know (he explained in one video that if a house was free meant the parents were on holiday and there was going to be party whether the teens knew it or not), but I think mostly his accent is just too thick I can't catch on. But the jokes I do catch are funny! My family is hoping to go to Scotland next summer on holiday. I love comedians so Kevin seemed like a good choice. I'm told that for tourists the people mostly tone down their accent. I hope so. (I've had Japanese friends go to the US and Australia and had terrible times with the language). Really looking forward to the trip! The countryside looks so beautiful. And I love Scotch. And unfortunately due to Brexit and Covid, it's really cheap! Everyone should be taking advantage of this!

What about SA humour? Over here in the U.S,.u have a useless f##ker fronting John Stewart's 'Daily Show',he's so funny I can't even recall his name(The show was really funny, with Jon Stewart on it). But Mr Bridges(and I'm sure he'd appreciate that pretentious intro)is following along after the likes of Billy Connolly and Chick Murray..

These folk you always hear whistling at comedy shows amuse me. I always imagine being in the pub with a few mates, you crack a wee joke, 5 of them laugh, but that one mate responds by jamming a couple of fingers in his mouth and whistling while slapping his thigh with his other hand... Or him watching a comedy film with the family of an evening, the family all laughing and he's sat there whistling his approval.

Hi😁😁😁😁
Speaking as a Glasgow Man, the tough-guy image is overrated. Many of the guy's around me aren't that tough. I mean, they can't show vulnerability and many of them drown out their emotions with alcohol and other drugs which isn't tough at all really.
