Particularly liked the music today - complemented this scenery really well. You’ve got a great pro-slow pan and steady hand - will make for a great relaxing doco if that’s what you’re intending. Low key hiker banter captures the ambience of your experience too- like distant temple bells in a bamboo forest. Always appreciate your Trail minutia shots and an occasional timelapse (and SloMo if you find you can in post). So looking forward to the next 300 miles Clint 🇦🇺

The trail name Outlaw has become appropriate. You're looking kinda like Ned Kelly (infamous bushranger here in Australia) these days 😂

Hiked all over Desolation in my teens! So many memories! Also did my first solo hike there at 18. Still looks beautiful!

As I understand, it was named Desolation for all the glaciers stripping away the topsoil exposing that beautiful granite. We hiked that in 2019 and will definitely be back!

And now the best for last! Desolation is the appetizer: similar to the world of granite known as the Emigrant coming up: my backyard. Gonna miss you and Weatherman but looking forward to what’s to come with your compilation.

5:09 What an awesome beautiful video! I hope that dog that started barking at you as you were trying to cross that pretty huge creek was not too distracting, because I would’ve lost my balance!

Jack Who knew "Desolation" looked so amazing. As I mentioned earlier I am really looking forward to the Sierra (s) from Tennessee I'm sure I have butchered it as well. Safe travels to you and Weatherman. Eddie

Between Tahoe and KMN is the Carson-Iceberg Wilderness. I am eager to hear how you felt about it. As always -- Be safe; keep at it!

@@HitTheTrailJack Glad to hear that. When I was a small child I spent a lot of time in that area. I like it because it's wilderness, but it's accessible ... but it's accessibility is somewhat limited by the state highways -- routes 89 and 4 are adventures unto themselves. So it's not as remote as the High Sierra Crest, but it is definitely off the beaten path. Glad you enjoyed it. By the way, did you conquer The Nipple?? Enquiring minds want to know! 😂

Sorry Jack. I corrected Methow pronunciation while you were in the North Cascades of Washington. Met-how! As soon as I hit send, I felt bad. Who cares anyway, except us “arm chair hikers” who should earn the right to correct. Sorry.
