PLZ READ: Before anyone asks where this is or what trail it is that I hiked just know that I purposely left enough “hidden in plain sight clues” throughout the video for you to figure it out on your own with a little bit of research (think of it like a scavenger hunt or an Easter egg hunt hehe) ALSO: There still be tons o bots and spammer-scammers out there. Do not fall for them! I will never, would never, message a person offering or asking for money/prizes/etc or any sort of incentive to chat with me on another app/txt like telegram/whatsapp etc. (I do my best to stay on top of ‘em but it’s a waste of precious time tbh ;P)

A little tip Anna for your next hike! We have at the pharmacy some patches called false skin. Don't know if you have it there! They are transparent and you put them on before you start your trip! If you have new shoes or lightly used shoes. Put them on walk in to water and walk them dry. Then you get the shoes to mold to your feet!

Just found your channel. I am a single woman with no friends and no family who would be interested in this. But I want to go hiking and camping so badly. I did one solo trip - first hiking and first solo during Covid to the Zion National Park in Utah. Almost died twice but it was so amazing. You're such an inspiration! Keep it up! And don't worry, I would have cried too.

First time watching you...congrats on your first solo trip. You're crying not because you are a crybaby, but because doing big things, accomplishing goals, especially by yourself, is life changing. And that's emotional. And scary. And amazing. And the overwhelming emotions rise to the top that you are in the midst of accomplishing something important to you, you are in nature, surrounded by these amazing views, and you are fortunate enough to be able to do these things. That's worth tears. I've experienced that every time I've been on a solo trip. Congrats again!

Great video, thanks for sharing the ups and downs with us. One small tip I could offer, that could prevent a HUGE problem for you: DO NOT get into the habit of pouring boiling water into your hand.... Put the bag on the ground, and always pour water in a direction that is away from your body. Even into a cup for coffee, if you're holding it on the gound to steady the cup, move your hand over to the side, so if you over pour, you miss your hand or fingers. Burns would be bad in daily life, in the backcountry, injuries are even worse. Please girl, be safe.

🇬🇧 I cried like that when I marched up and camped atop the second highest Alp at 22 years old. As the sun rose over Italy, the shadows shortened in France. I mourned the death of the overcautious boy in the frozen tears of the man who emerged from the chrysalis of my tent. That baptism continues to define the rest of my life.

Wow if you were actually solo, then walking up for the "camera shot" then going back for the camera must have been a workout, no wonder you got blisters. Anna there is a product called Mole Skin found in foot care sections at many stores that will be your friend if your next chapter will have you hiking a lot. I took my hiking shoes and turned them upside down in a container that had fabric softener in water to make the tops of my shoes softer, the part touching the heels especially I did not soak the soles because of I did not want the glue to loosen, but after they soak a few hours, I rinsed them well and then walked in them while they were wet until they dried if they had leather. They would dry formed to my feet and they were soft while walking as well, just an old soldier trick. As you go through a few nights be sure to list things you need to make the trips safer and more enjoyable so we can help. So proud of you for taking life by the horns and making yourself so happy it causes tears. You are living the life we all want, and I am for one am happy for you.

When you cried, I cried with you. I can feel your happiness through the screen. Keep going! Been wanting do to this too for awhile and I don't have the chance yet because I lack of resources. But girl, you inspired me. I am going to pursue it before the end of the year.

Thank you for being so vulnerable during this video. I've been planning to camp and backpack here in Michigan solo for a while and I've never really gotten up the courage to do so. This video was pure and wholesome and even through the tears you trekked on. Inspirational!! 😊

Wow, this is a beautiful adventure. Your videography is stunning and your editing is excellent! Thank you for sharing your first solo hike with us all, it is very cool. I was smiling with you the entire time except when those tears overwhelmed you I cried with you too. I frequently also find myself crying with the beauty and thrilling moments in life, and I am 65 now! 😅 Your ability to be your authentic self is very attractive, and you have a new subscriber here as I have onkj just found your channel. Loads of love, and keep up the great work, from a Ninja Nana in New Zealand! 😍 🌿 🙆🏻‍♀️ 😊 🌳🏕️🗻🏞️🏘️

That is an epic campsite!!! The Cascades and the Olympics are awe inspiring. Mole skin can help with blisters also just covering a blister with the large cloth adhesive bandages works great too, they stay stuck to your skin really well and your sock and the bandage take the friction not your skin.

I've followed a few solo camping channels around the world and it's refreshing to see your, just a bit, different aspect of boats, van life and now backbacking. So, I'll be waiting your next video. Stay safe and enjoy your travels :)

Looking forward to seeing you explore my country! The weather is getting cooler here. October 1st there is a requirement to have winter tires on your vehicle when driving the major highways. If you winter here, the island in BC is the best place to go. Maybe see you there.

Honestly Anna, the dedication u have to place ur camera up on a hill then come down, get in ur tent, turn ur light on, get the shot…turn it off , get the shot…and then go up the hill again to grab your camera… genuinely admiring! Really enjoyed the editing and the way you took us with u and how immersive it felt with the different camera angles. Keep up ur good work! ❤

I understand the emotions, especially when being out in nature alone. I feel I wish I could share the experience with someone special, and yet I want to soak it all in with no interruptions. I have not experienced too many solo hikes or solo camping trips, but watching your inspiring video encourages me to try harder and go for it. Thank you for sharing the beauty.

We all start somewhere--the important thing is that we just start :) I spent countless hours asking questions and spending time with workers at REI soaking up information and getting advice and help before I went out! Asking for help when you need it gets you much farther than never asking at all ;) Sending much love and all the good vibes to you
