I admire you for being brave enough to do this. I would be terrified to sleep in a log cabin with a wood-burning fire going.

Seeing you enjoying hikes in the Canadian mountains in your last few videos and them resembling Foresty Forest's videos, I was so hoping you two would meet up. The end of this video was great; Rocko's appearance made it even more special. I hope we're going to see you and Foresty do a hike together.

Great video Anna. A helpful tip for you for backpacking is sleep gear. A hike in like that will naturally dampen your clothes from exertion, no matter how easy you hike. That bit of moisture can lead to chilly, uncomfortable nights. Switching into bone dry sleep attire can make the world of difference! Also, having them gives you protection should you fall in a creek getting water or whatever. Dry clothes and sleeping bag is one of the greatest insurance policies in the out-of-doors! Anna! You're a beast! How amazing that you hiked all that way and stayed in that (absolutely fabulous) little cabin alone in the cold and rain! I consider myself rather adventurous, but I'm not at all sure I could have handled that. I have loved watching all of your adventures, but especially those right here in my back yard (BC/AB). Keep up the great work - you are truly an inspiration as I hope to set off in my bus next year.

THE BEST "Bear Channel" on KZread is the one operated by the Wildlife Biologist known as "THE BEAR GUY" (enter name on YT search engine). His authentic videos, done with subtitles only, show Grizzly Bear behaviour in their natural habitat, videoed mostly in Western Canada, much of it in Kannanaskis Country, a wilderness region south of Banff National Park which Anna visited on her last video.

Hey Anna. A couple of hints to get your van further into the back country. I have 2wd Sprinter, so similar problems. On slippery but not too deep mud, I've found snow chains can make a huge difference for traction. Also in a front wheel drive vehicle, if you ever find yourself unable to get back up the hill you went down, try reversing up the hill. Sometimes with the weight on the drive wheels on the downhill side of the van, you'll get enough traction to make it up. Obviously, these hints are also just a way to get stuck worse and further away from assistance! ;-)

Great video Anna, brought memories back from my childhood years, spending 1 to 2 months during summer breaks helping care for my grandparents flock of sheep at the summer campsite in mountains. You are totally right about the pine wood being soft and how it burns fast. I've experienced that myself, oak and cedar was our choice wood, but every now and then we did used pine. I believe, I also viewed the particular tiny cabin being constructed before. Thank you for sharing your experience and as usual, stay safe.

I'm surprised that they didn't have a locking system on the door or have at least some would already shop for the next person they do a lot of them in Alaska and they do come in handy in the backcountry. Can't believe you forgot a beer have a flask of whiskey in your pack for next time or emergency purposes. I like the note log 👍🏻

Anna, thnx for sharing. You are gutsy, saw you do the climb on snowshoes already. Couple things: animals are not "angry" unless attacked. The are curious, but the fire most likely would keep them well away. Your hatchet would protect you from anything regardless. Yes, a tarp or durable survival mylar blanket over you would keep you totally dry. I learned this the hard way. Keep it up, get your 4wd. You're awesome, girl.
