The Sierra has outdone itself once again! I can’t imagine not seeing these magnificent views from your High Sierra videos after Whitney. I can rewatch your videos, but we must move on!

I’ve been dangerously hypothermic twice, and shelter in the tent while it passes is the exact thing to do! Glad you’re home safe!

So beautiful. I know you are already done. But how surreal to only have 3.5 days left at that point thanks for taking us along with you

Had to laugh! Rain …again!! You’ve had a generous share of uber challenging weather & conditions this year. Hardly a drop in ‘21 … tho’ for me, solo on a trackless Mather in a blizzard very late on a May afternoon with a glitching FarOut was probs my ‘Donohue moment’. Lucky to survive that one! Your excitement is palpable. So happy for you guys. Best decisions! … & the Sierra has even reserved some photogenic snow drifts for your lenses. I can only imagine how grindy & sluggy it would have been traversing relentless snow for 300+miles. Actually considering a SOBO for my next PCT to experience the Sierra differently & near snowless after watching your journey. Clint🇦🇺

Great video! Reminds me of my thru hike of the PCT in 2016. Matthers was one of my favorites also. You guys had to climb the golden staircase being sobo so that must have been intense.

Jack I know the goal of a thru hike is generally one direction from start to finish. I also loved the view of the Cascades. But the way this hike has gone to see you guys finishing in the Sierras are one spectacular views after another. With the exception of the bridge crossing in this video (btw I felt like I should get a tetanus shot just watching you guys cross that) I was blown away with the views. Weatherman what are two secrets you rely on to get you through the Sierras? 1. Sad music 2. Whatever you do, don't eat. 😂😂😂😂 Hope all is well guys. Eddie

I was reading about Solomon this morning. Wise, rich, ate and drank out of gold utensils, collected horses and chariots (and even built cities to house them in), he had everything. Because of his extreme blessings, he forgot about God. Towards the end of his life he wrote “vanity, all is vanity “. Having ease and everything brought no happiness. Let’s look at your PCT adventure as a microcosm of like; ups and downs, indescribable beauty, fellowship, loneliness, rich food, no food, bland food, physically demanding, sore, joy, sorrow, danger, but all for the love of life. One step at a time, then you round the bend and there it is….the end of the trail. Exhilaration, joy, and maybe even a little sadness, but one thing you won’t say, “vanity, all is vanity.” I wrote in my journal this morning after meditating on this: Isn’t this the way of life Lord? The walk, the trail, the PCT adventure that spans our lifetime as we walk with you. Constantly thanking you for the high times of blessing, and seeking you during the low times. I think the PCT life is better than the Solomon life Father. Working on God sized dreams, toiling in life, ups and downs, then, the ascent! We round the corner and there YOU are! And we hear “well done thou good and faithful servant.” Thanks Jack for sharing your adventure. It has been a blessing to me.
