From what I read, Ric Ocasek also left out 2 or 3 of his sons from a former marriage out of his will. Apparently they have animosity towards him as they say he wasn't a great father.

The more I hear from Paulina, the more I like her. She's a total class act, beautiful inside and out. Of course we don't know what happened in her marriage but, it seems really cruel to cut out your partner of almost 30 years, ( who really loved you). She doesn't need his money and it's not at all about the money but, even in light of the divorce she deserved something even a token of saying you were a big part of my life thank you for sharing it with me.

I saw another interview where Paulina talks about Rick losing his attraction to her as she got into her 40's. We can all agree that Rick wasn't technically attractive. He was lucky to get someone so much younger and so breathtakingly beautiful. Yet, when she aged, he stopped visibly "seeing" her. She said he basically ignored her and stopped touching or acknowledging her. That's heartbreaking. All because she'd aged... I believe he put her down, too. Christi Brinkley talked about how Billy Joel put her down regarding aging. So, these unattractive men get these women who are in the top 10% of beauty and when the women begin to age, the men act disgusted. Wow. My husband hasn't touched me since 2016. He barely looks at me. When young, men actually chased me down the street. People walk into me now. Like I'm not there.

She seems to have such a big heart! Very beautiful what she said « This is me at my best » Sadly many of us pass 55 have a tendency of thinking we were at our best in our twenties and thirties. We forget we are more experienced, and yes, smarter so we should celebrate who we have become….just like her! :)🎉❤. Cheers to the 50 and over!

@Khurram Aziz You are correct in a sense. At 54, I can hardly compare myself to my 20 something year old self, or another person in their 20s. Also, when I start doing that, I think about the fact that there are A LOT of people who don't reach my age and also, all the things that can take me out in the upcoming years. This brings me right back to the present moment in which I need to stop wasting my time on thinking about things that I can't change and are normal parts of the life cycle of humans. Also, I'm very healthy, and health is wealth no matter what age you are, but in particular, as you age.

She is graceful and beautiful and intelligent and interesting and more. There are many good men out there that would be really lucky to have a wonderful woman like her - even men of the same age or younger! I dont believe in overgeneralizing. Its not healthy for men and women to buy into any negative beliefs projected by society and the media. Each one of us has something wonderful to offer another human being. I met Paulina and Ric on a film shoot (Estée Lauder). Paulina was working a lot at the time. Ric was just hanging out. I diid not have that much to do, so I spent a long time talking to Ric .He told me he was not your typical rock star, instead of drugs and excess, he actually had invested much of his money in the stock market and other assets, so he was loaded. Paulina was also on the top of her game making millions. They were quite a financial powerhouse. It's hard to believe that he cut her out of his will, but Paulina should have kept her money from modeling. Ric was madly in love with her and visa versa. Sad to see it end like this. Oh yeah Paulina likes her coffee, light and sweet, kinda like her.

I love Paulina. It's wonderful how she's bringing to public attention the neglect and abuse older women endure. This is something our American culture should really attempt to bring into awareness and change. We all get older, and if we were guilty of not being the kindest or most respectful to older people when we ourselves were young and had the world by the tail, it will inevitably become our burden to bear down the road. It is to true that we sow what we reap. Some people call it karma.

She is stunningly beautiful, but perhaps the best takeaway is the fact how WOMEN need to learn to control THEIR OWN MONEY. She let her deceased ex-husband handle her finances. When they divorced, she came to learn how little she had, after she had been working since her late teens. When he died and she found out he cut her out of the will, she challenged the will but didn't have enough money to buy groceries. Her friends needed to buy them for her because she could not.

She is portraying herself as a victim of a vindictive husband but in her own words she was as much as fault for the marriage falling apart. She even admitted in that video she demanded he make concessions to her or the marriage was over. WHO gives authoritarian ultimatums t someone they love when the guy isn't doing anything wrong. It is one thing if Rick was into substance abuse, wife swapping, cheating, etc..... She wanted to be treated like a trophy wife and go out all the time and he was almost 20 years older than her.

I can never remember a time in my life where I ever considered to try and hurt or humiliate someone that is an older person. I don't even remember hearing anyone doing that. She did abandon him. She was out dating and Ric felt that she abandoned him. They weren't divorced. Oh, and lets not forget that he didn't cut her out of will as she had the legal right to a spouses elective share since they were married at time of death. She got that elective share.

it's so weird to see the interviewer, who's clearly had her whole face done, sitting right next to Paulina who has aged naturally. Besides her obvious beauty, she still looks like herself, just with some wrinkles. She looks human, real. The other woman looks like a desperate attempt to stop time.

Beautiful woman. It is so interesting hearing her story, but at age 55 I do not feel invisible at all!!. I just can't understand what she is going through. She's just not seeing it? I get the impression it's not others not seeing her. She isn't seeing HERSELF. You gotta live yourself first.

When their marriage fell apart, she had an affair. That’s why he cut her out. But I’m not taking sides. Relationships are complicated and we only know what they reveal to us.

In her case I don't think age has ruined her look. If a woman looking like her walking by me, she wouldn't be invisible for sure, at least not to me. In general I don't think that women in her age are as invisible as they think they are. It's just that certain type of industries make them think they are forgotten or invisible.

Well you never know what goes on behind closed doors... I sure hope she finds something out there. I mean she certainly seems to be looking inward... hard to part with the thing that you once were though. Maybe she'll find the answer by looking out, sharing her wealth of experiences with others. She sure looks great though!!!

It’s easy to talk about Ric when he’s not alive to defend himself. People lie. Don’t make money off his incredible legacy by disparaging him when he’s not around to refute.

@@littlesparks thank you for using that word. ‘Upsetting’. It articulates how I feel too. I was devastated when I learned Ric had died. I didn’t know him of course but he had an old school quality about him. He was cool as can be. I can’t think of a cooler musician. And he seemed to have gracefulness and genuineness to him at the same time. I felt so sad for him when I knew in his 70s he and Paulina had divorced. Mainly because I knew that would be my fate too.

I will say, I usually agree, but apparently Ocasek has had a lot of problems with his families over the years. He’s had several rocky divorces and he even cut some of his kids out of the will because they had issues with him over his role in their lives

Much as I love the music of the Cars, Ric comes across as a control freak. I think he had issues, having been through 3 wives and leaving many children from his past relationships. . Paulina seems much more grounded.
