Ойын-сауық

“Extra’s” Billy Bush had a candid conversation with Paulina Porizkova about her life today following the death of her husband, Cars frontman Ric Ocasek.
She also hit back at ageism and discussed posting a nude on Instagram after Elizabeth Hurley was called “thirsty” for sharing a similar photo.

If you realized what the family court custody practices were no woman with a brain would ever marry a man again in this country or any other that had Colonial histories. If you have to battle a man in court that you were never married to? They can't coerce you into unbalanced, unfair and/or unsafe practices surrounding visitation or custody. But if you were married? They can strip you completely of visitation, parenting rights, and unlimited sums of money. You can lose your liberty indefinitely, and there's not a damn thing to do about it because you signed the BIRTH CERTIFICATE. It's a contract with the US Government.

My situation is so similar. I took care of my father through two bouts of cancer, the second of which ended his life. When the throat cancer took his voice I was his voice. He was deaf. So, I would translate all of his phone calls, him writing on a dry erase board what he wanted to say and I would write the caller’s questions and remarks. When he needed pain meds I was the one who arranged everything. Four days after the first visit I found him dead in his room. Pretty traumatic. Yet, not as traumatic as the next day when I found out he had left me out of his will entirely. Everything went to another member of the family and her children. Of course, unlike what I would do, she refused to share any of the millions. The whole thing has left me scarred and bitter. Paulina, I genuinely feel your pain.

NY Judges do illegal things: they're protected by something called "qualified immunity", so if the Judge wants to illegally side with your cheating husband, he will & you WILL GET NOTHING. Women are left without their OWN money, Assuredly, Husbands will do this to you...& it will be supported 1000% by NY Judges. There exists no "lets do whats legally fair" in male run NY courts. And Alimony? If the Judge says "no", you get NONE. In NY state it's like that, not other states. I spent my life providing for my family & former husband. My husband was living a double life & opened up secret bank accounts with our marital money for his co-worker/lover. I'd no idea the methodical planning over many years that a former husband will do, to destroy their entire family & friends. After all, you are paying taxes on that money, so you should be able to invest it or spend it. But this is something you and your spouse need to discuss BEFORE you get married. Financial Abuse is very real. In fact in almost all situations where there is Domestic Abuse, Domestic Violence and Narcissistic Abuse, Financial Abuse constitutes just one of the many forms of abuse that is inflicted. It can be inflicted by both men and women, but it's usually inflicted mostly against women. Women of Paulina's era were expected to conform to different social norms, but thank goodness for decades now women are becoming more and more financially responsible and independent, but never the less, this form of spousal abuse still goes on. It would not be in a young woman’s best interest to mate with an older man with decreased fertility. The vast majority of young women want a partner roughly their own age. Most women in their 20s and 30s perceive a man in his early 40s as too old. Old men are not attractive or sexy-their money is.

Paulina was his last wife. She was with him the longest. I just can’t believe he treated her so badly at the end. I think he was a complicated and a difficult guy to live with. He even cut two of his kids out of his will. I have always liked Paulina. I hope she finds new love, career success, and happiness in the years ahead. I remember flipping through the channels one day and I stopped on Suze Orman's program about financials. She was taking questions from the audience. This was maybe 20 years ago, and I am positive that her advice would still be the same today. Someone asked, "When you get married, should you create one account by combining your money?" She said, "NO! There should 3 accounts. You should have your own account, his account and a joint account. The joint account, you guys figure out how much each puts in per paycheck and from here, pay the main bills". I am sure people divorcing 20yrs ago and suddenly becoming single in their mature years has not changed. And the statistics remain the same today. By having your own account and money, you will not be financially lost.

I thought she far outshone the other Super Models of that era, yet didn't get quite the acclaim they did. He was older and creepy - and I think most of the world wondered how he could have landed the most beautiful woman in the world. Once they married, she seemed to not be so visible. That's something else that insecure abusers do too - they like to lock their princess up in a tower so that no one else can try to whisk her away. I pray she gets more modelling work; women around the world need role models like Paulina to show that ageing is a natural part of life and it can be done both beautifully and gracefully. I'm so over this concept that women have an expiry date, especially when we are expected to have careers, contribute equally with finances, try to raise families, etc. We like to believe we have equality, but we don't, we're still a long way off.

Obviously, more importantly, the matter at hand of Rick leaving her out of his will truly speaks to the immaturity of people when they are hurt/angry. How painful that must have been to find out especially when SHE was the one caring for him in his last days! I have always seem Paulina as a down to earth beautiful woman! Back in the day when she was a top supermodel I remember thinking how absolutely gorgeous she was ( and IS ) but when I first saw her interviewed way back then I saw that she appeared to be just as beautiful on the inside & always wondered, in my shallow brain at the time - what was it about Ric Ocasek that drew her to him - cuz it certainly wasn't his looks. When I got older and a bit wiser and I saw that their relationship had lasted - I knew it was obviously much deeper for them to have been together for such a long time - especially in their world - it just proved to me even more what a genuine person she was that even at such a young age she saw beyond what he looked like! I wish her and her children well ♥

If your sons are not stepping up to the plate and taking care of you then you have lousy sons. My suggestion to you is put your pride aside and let your son's do what they're supposed to do and take care of you. Before my parents passed away I took care of my mom and dad because that's what I was supposed to do as a daughter. She's still beautiful inside and out. An icon. I love her personality. She became famous at a time very different from now. Young girls had to have natural beauty and didn't get full face overhauls surgically or get jobs because their parents were famous. It didn't exist. On the practical side of things, young women need to listen to her advice about relationships and money. I am the same age as her and I did not merge my assets with the father of my children. He was showing signs of severe instability in many ways and was not a good father or partner. When I left him, I had my own money. I only had to go to court for child support because he was spiteful and did not want to pay. I accepted less than I should have gotten firstly because I could get by with my own money and secondly because attorneys fees would have gotten ridiculous. Also, the house that we lived in was in his name only so when I bought my own investment property, I only put my name on it. It worked out for the best. When he stopped paying the mortgage on his house, he was solely responsible for that mess. Not me. My credit was not ruined and I had no issues. I averted financial disaster. He's 70 now and his life sucks and deservedly so because he wanted me to be miserable. In closing, listen to Paulina. She was not just Ric's wife. She made millions through contracts with cosmetic companies like Estee Lauder and he betrayed her. Some people love using money to control and ruin you. It doesn't have to happen.
