Songs and music is nourishment for the mind, body and soul. Notice how happy you feel dancing? 1 of the reasons of course is your angels laughing at how silly you look with the movements, like how we laugh at babies dancing for the sometimes unco-ordinated movements (^ _ _ ^ )

Back when MTV played music.
When my dad used to “be in charge” on Saturdays while my mum worked, instead of making the beds as we were supposed to, he would blast this song and we would bounce THE LIFE out of the bed before making it. One of my most treasured memories. He passed July 2021. My heart sings when I hear this. I miss you Dad. My wounded warrior 🍀☘️💪🏼❤️☀️

I first saw this video on television at my grandmother's house sometime in the late 80s with my parents. We all laughed a lot at it. Now it's thirty-five years later and my grandmother isn't around anymore and my parents are elderly and I'm not so young myself and it still brings a smile to my face.

This song reminds me of a time when my children were young, life was just getting to the good part, and I was in the prime of my life. Now my sons are to that part of their life, it went by so fast. They’re young men with college degrees now, they have careers, are falling in love now, and they live on their own. Some days the house just feels too quiet and empty, and my aches and pains won’t let me sleep. I needed to hear this song today. God bless all.

Paul Simon is not a guy who you usually think of as having a sense of humor, but he is subtly hilarious here. He starts to sing "A man walks down - " but then realizes, to his mild surprise, that he's not the one supposed to be singing. He twiddles his thumbs. When Chevy is "singing" the na-na-na part, the look on Paul's face says he really wants to be singing but he knows he's not supposed to. Great song, and an incredibly fun simple video.

mental breakdown of one person due to cripling insecurity caused by midlife crisis that resulted in loss of identity is not quite a "feel good" song. not in my opinion. it is a great song but not a "feel good" song...
He sees angels in the architecture Spinning in infinity He says, "Amen and Hallelujah!"
So the actual meaning to this song is great! Paul and his wife were invited to a party and the host forgot their names and called them Al and Betty all night, introducing them as Al and Betty to all the other guests … going along with the error they continued to call each other Al and Betty and he turned it into a brilliant song.
Is it just me, or would it be so epic to see Simon and Chase do a long over due reunion and recreate this video! My inner childhood would definitely be ecstatic:)
