@@julie-annstephens2878 I won't say without George & Paul + the good drumming & energy of Ringo) there would be no Beatles after Revolver, because there would be no Beatles FULL STOP! Listen to their Decca tapes or even their June 1962 EMI sessions. Yes, ther's energy, but there sonwriting was very limited @ that stage, the covers (which is what they mostly did) are very so so & the playing not great. Lennon on his own, no chance. But if Macca & Geroge left in 1966, the band would be over. Tht said, I liked Johns image, specially in the later Beatles (but he could be a dick regarding bringing up his children & his opinion on the Beatles music. George however, interst me the most.

I've heard this song so, so many times and always thought it was one of the better 80s bops. Finding out George Harrison did it, it honestly all makes sense.

He’s so underrated it breaks my heart. In literally any other band he’d have been lauded as a songwriting genius with an insanely beautiful voice, but of course he was in the Beatles with Lennon & McCartney! Even then I consider some of his songs amongst the best they produced. _Something, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, Here Comes The Sun,_ and the glorious _Long, Long, Long_ - a little-recognised masterpiece (and Ringo’s best performance). Miss you George!

@@AndresMagnone oh I’m sure. I wasn’t alive for John or George... it’s a shame. Especially John though, I sure he’d still be here today had that not happened. I know a lot of other Beatles fans from generation z that feel the same way; like we were sort of “robbed” of all of that music, tours, them being alive in general. I also think they would still be making music just like Paul and Ringo do. But that’s it, we just have them. And I guess that’s life sadly. But we’ll see them again(or for the first time, as I mentioned) someday.

I had an 80s song stuck in my head and I was like “well I’ll just type what I remember into Google” and HOLY CRAP I got it FIRST TRY like this never happens

OK I have to say this on the Internet. I cringed at this song for decades I thought it was so cheesy as a kid of the 80s it just did not vibe with me. And then it just never did until fall of 2023 when I started listening to George Harrison’s solo catalog, and just became utterly fucking obsessed. I actually absolutely love this song hard now! Wow, I love when my perspective on music changes overtime

I still miss John and George. I grew up with the Beatles and still believe they're the best rock group ever. RIP John and George.
