this song means so much to me. i grew up listening to this. this is the sound of pure childhood for me. it reminds me of my dad, how he wanted to teach me so much and help me grow. he died of cancer when i was 7. after that, i didn’t hear this song again until i was 14. i was depressed, barely clinging to survival, and at one point nearly tried to end my life. when i listened to this song again, something in me changed. it didn’t cure me, but it gave me a reason to get better. i think i realized that there was a chance i could be happy with life again. im 18 now, an age i thought i would be gone by. i graduate high school in a month, and im attending my dream college in the fall. i still have such a long journey ahead of me. this song saved me. this music video is beautiful. this song is beautiful, life is beautiful. if you’re reading this, you’re beautiful. i know that because you’re alive. keep on breathing. its an honor and privilege to be alive with you all

R.I.P Long Live IZ. He’s now at the end of the rainbow,pot of gold and dreams. Will always appreciate him as I remember watching this when I was 9 after my dad died from suicide. Unfortunately my mom died from a heart attack when I was 13. This song was very prevalent in my life at the time. Thanks IZ!

I'm a former Marine now in my mid 40s. My grandparents took me to Hawaii and an IZ concert when I was a kid in the 90s, which was probably the first time I heard this song. Fast forward a few decades and she's in her 90s with heart failure and nearing the end of her life. This song brings back so many great memories from back then.

In dark times, this song somehow gives hope. I think because it recognizes that we may not be able to find a way to make our dreams come true.. but that we can keep trying... that there is a better place or way for all of us. Simple, yet somehow powerful enough to make this average suburban middle aged guy sit here with tears in my eyes. We are lucky to have had Israel be able to capture this somehow.

What a mesmerizing like humming in the air, like sweat whistle, what an enigmatic voice of this man. I am fallen in love with his sweat shooting video. May God bless him and keep him in peace. Right now I am feeling myself over the rainbow.

It was really no wonder that he died so early but its sad.

I have this vague memory of my dad showing this to me when I was around five years old. At first, I thought it was just a nice song, but now as I grow older, when I listen to it I feel like I am transported to another world where everything is good. Rest in Peace IZ.
