It was a wholly different time. There's not of the "essential" nicenesses we have today. Internet, mobiles, gameboy's (and the like) and pc's wasn't invented yet. The whole digital age wasn't begun. In that respect the good old days sucked. But we had a lot of time of our hands: We had no stress like we do now. However, we lived in fear of Nuclear Armageddon. That was very real. Every Wednesday sirens in my country sounded: We prepared for the Soviets. I do NOT wish to return to that age. The fall of the Berlin Wall brought new hope. I, however, long for the 90's that were carefree. The West had won and the opportunities were endless - until 2001. Kind of like 1900-1914. That is my perspective on the life I have lived.
