Cocona shaving her hair made me remember the time when 2NE1 Dara had a half shaved hair look during I Love You era. What's different is that she was forced to do it for the concept, she was crying when getting her hair shaved. I think she was even apologising (I think her brother Thunder?) for "looking scary" with that hair. That was like 10 years ago so obviously the times are different but the industry beauty standard hasn't changed much so it's incredible to see Cocona breaking boundaries like this.

The thing about XG is they're not simply talented nor skilled neither just visually pleasing but they all posseses solid and innate star power presence that's why they constantly standout without doing any acrobatic kind of effort. Everything about them is just so natural and undeniable that even though others try to mimick them they can never be in their level of natural star power

Cocona is already on the level of professional rapper. Her English is very easy to understand and her voice and tone are intriguing.

In the documentary series, I believe Simon left out a lot of the audtion tapes not to show too much of the talent these ladies are gifted with.Maya amazing vocals in Winter Without You.They showed a few seconds of Cocona singing and she has a phenomenal voice besides her gifted rapping skills. Simon has yet to showcase her vocals.

Guess at first they are trying to fit into the kpop standard, but it didn't hit. They found their real target market after shooting star and can finally explore their concept (people who accuse them of plagiarism of concept, the company itself is XGALX referring to the galaxy 😂 so it fits their lore, and 2ne1 is the first kpop gg who have multiverse world concept)

@@shm3657 They only did that at first in order to attract Korea's attention. But in the lyrics to 'Tippy Toes', they told us exactly what they were planning to do. After getting one foot in the door with solid placement, they kicked the door down and let the wolves do what they do.

So many references in this song. Everything, Everywhere, All at Once. I can see how they got inspiration from that movie with all the crazy eyes and weird effects. Everyone did their job splendidly. The crazy eyes in Hinata's part are a homage to the silent 1927 movie "Metropolis" about a futuristic urban dystopian society

I think we should definitely see XG's live concert. I'm sure we'll be overwhelmed.

Even with 20 years of experience, you can still be shit. She doesn’t rap like she has 20 years of experience, she raps like she was put on this earth to be a rapper, no experience can outweigh sheer natural talent the way she and the other members have. She puts some of her seniors to shame 💯 But also, she says “young blood but I’m built like an OG” which is true because she is in fact built like an og rapper

I saw on Chinese social media that a pregnant woman traveled alone to Yokohama to attend the concert. She had been hospitalized before due to a miscarriage, which worsened her depression. During that time, she relied on XG's documentary to get through it. She said she was grateful to the little girls for giving her strength. This is so refreshing to see. We don't see often girl groups going for a dark concept with a hip hop sound. XG are definitely breaking barriers.

Their concept photo (the eye in the mouth photo) reminds me of the proverb in Japan “Eyes speaks as much as the mouth(目は口ほどに物を言う）” which means, “one can say more with a look than with ten thousand words” After watching the MV I really think this proverb suits this song so much.

Yup. I know that reaction. I’m glad u found XG. Feels like u found hidden gem dont u? These girls aint nothing like kpop these days. Well thy never called themselves kpop in the first place. People just assumed they are kpop. If anything their music is highly influenced by western music especially hip hop and R&B. But they trained using the kpop idol training system. That’s why they are promoting in Korea, but also in Japan, and around the world.
