I've never had the pleasure to meet Paul Rudd personally, but everybody I know who've had the opportunity to work alongside him or talk with him, whatever it may be, have all said that he's, hands down, one of the most genuine, thoughtful people they've ever met. @@sapphicism i mean frankly it kinda is world changing in a way after seeing his interviews i can barely stomach most of them (other interviews). i think it is so closed minded to think that these simple yet incredible interviews arent world changing. just as paul rudd said most of the interviews with celebrities' are just glorified ads and while i know that is why evans does interview them he seems to be so genuine and legitimately does actual research on them. on top of that ive never seen an interview from him where the interviewee is uncomfortable or actually upset. that just goes back to research imo because you see all of these interviews where the interviewer makes the interviewee upset in some way. i watched the episode with Michael cerra where he talks about that a bit where interviewers will try a bit out with the interviewee and it makes him uncomfortable. it seems like nothing is pulled on them at all which ig that is why i believe it is world changing. just a genuine conversation with some wings is all i see. its simple yet refreshing.

Sean has a faceless - Team - behind him, they have a repertoire in the show of cleverly asking various critical thinking questions, usually getting the "that's a great question" reply to Sean, throughout the episodes. Notice the papers in a few "sodes" he keeps to the left of his chicken line, not to say he doesn't execute the interview like a pro every rip, just giving Credit to the Crew.

Paul Rudd is the pinnacle of pain tolerance that this show has ever seen. No one has done it better. The way Paul pushed the activity to go way beyond his comfort zone----this man is a BEAST! ...and he seems to be the nicest, most down to earth guy ever! Is there a more adorable actor in existence? ...I'll wait...

oh my god, the way this doesn’t even feel like an interview is amazing. it’s just like the two of them having an incredible conversation. i feel like part of it is because they’re keeping eye contact with each other the entire time without looking at the cameras, and also because the hotness of the sauces isn’t really brought up much as compared to other episodes. this was such a joy to watch. seeing paul devour those wings entirely each time was so insane too 😭😭

Paul Rudd is one of the very few celebrities id love to meet. enjoyed him in so many films, and he seems like such a great person.

I didn’t know much about Paul Rudd besides a few movies I enjoyed seeing. But this episode actually showed the beautiful, sincere, intelligent, cool, warm, genuine man he really is. I’m blown away, I’m going to start supporting all his movies from now on.

This is my favorite episode, I have so much more love for Paul Rudd now. I never knew this stuff about him or saw an interview/real conversation with this man. Now I see why so many love this guy.

For years I've loved the meme, but seeing the whole video...super wholesome, love it.

Hands down the best episode. You can feel the joy coming out from both of them.

One of the my favorite things about Paul is the level of engagement/ presence he has. Great episode!

And here's the thing. Even if Paul had wimped out and gone for milk or constantly commented on how hot the sauce was, his interview would STILL be legendary because of how sweet and kind and generous he is. But when you take the fact that he was such a class act, and THEN add on top of it that he handled those wings like a freaking champ!? Dude is a legend. Best interview ever.

I've grown to the FACT that Sean Evans is the best interviewer on the planet. And I didn't think I could love Paul Rudd any more. Hot Ones is the best interview setup ever. Without the chili it would still be good, but the heat just peel off pretentiousness like a soft ice racing towards the sun.

Midwesterner who stayed grounded. He went to the rival high school (well after me with Jason Sudeikis) and then went to KU public university. Nothing flashy…the genuine article. He deserves all his success and accolades. Great family man. Check out his interview with local KC media at the Chiefs Super Bowl parade. Just a great dude.
