I love when the A list celebrities come on the little internet show and talk about how they've watched so many episodes of Hot Ones and how their kids have been asking them to come on the show. It's amazing how much this has blown up

Nobody from actors been so vocal about film industry insights like Matt, and I guess this is also because he's the one who clearly has the script writing, producing talent and industry knowledge, this also is a talent that gets unseen. Great business mind.

Matt seems so genuine. That's a wonderful quality in a human being. This was a great interview.

This was hilarious! I'm glad Matt showed us a side of him as if he was eating at home. He seems to love liquids as he drank the entire pitcher of water and chewed all of the ice. He belched, sweated. swore and seemed relaxed enough to enjoy himself. I love this show!

It's funny, I started hearing the level of the police operation and my first thought was "Oh, this was probably a Boca match at La Bombonera". Cannot go wrong with such a match as a tourist (as long as you are a bit of a daredevil)

Man, this guy is amazing. I love to hear him talk. He's managed to remain down to earth, despite being one of the top actors in Hollywood. Also, he can really handle some heat. Mad props.

Can you imagine Robin Williams still being alive and doing this show? Would be THE BEST episode of Hot Ones ever!!! Nobody could top it.

sean really asks the best questions out of any interviewer/journalist I’ve seen. I think that’s part of the reason this show has gotten so popular and they’ve booked great celebrities- finally, refreshing in-depth conversations that makes us feel like we’re having lunch with friends. Bravo!

Matt Damon is so much more humble and wholesome than literally any other older/mode aged guy in Hollywood. More than Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom cruise, Brad Pitt, etc.

It was a good interview but I don’t think he ever broke. He never lost his train of thought or gave any entirely off-the-cuff answer because he was so uncomfortable. So I would argue this was actually one of the worst Hot Ones interviews because making the guest uncomfortable so they give unscripted answers is the entire point.

Matt Damon seems like a genuinely down to earth guy. I think that comes from the fact that he and Ben Affleck had to claw their way up the ladder in Hollywood, starting as a couple of nobodies. It's too bad more people in Hollywood aren't like that.

I know I'm 1 year late but simply loved this episode with Matt. He's a class act. And as I write these lines, "First We Feast" is creeping up on 12M subscribers!! Congrats!! 💪🏼🤩👍🏼

Exactly. Every single interview I've seen Matt do this year, they askd about Ben and Jen. This is the first one where they just spoke about his friendship with Ben. Sean never asks stupid simple gossipy questions.

Been watching this show from the inception and so glad to see that you are getting A-list guests now. You do incredible research and Sean has terrific delivery....even without the perennially hilarious da'bomb facials....this is the best interview show I see on TV/internet these days easily....

Still one of my favorite actors. Good will hunting absolutely iconic and saving Private Ryan. Brilliant actor

This show just keeps getting better. Sean is a consummate interviewer.

I love how when Robin Williams comes up, you can see Matt get a bit emotional. That's just the kind of impact he had on people. We are a long ways away from that tragic day at this point, but his lasting impression on people is unwavering. Great stuff. We all miss him.

Hell, it gets me sad whenever I hear about Robin Williams. He was like that cool uncle we all had growing up. I just watched What Dreams May Come again a few days ago and the scene where he finds out that he can't see his wife because she committed suicide was heartbreaking.

@@JennSCHWA but you see them eating the wings. It's like filming a martial arts scene in front of falling water - the wings show you that the passage of time isn't being manipulated. They're not getting guests to do multiple takes eating these punishingly hot wings. Sean is an excellent interviewer with a research team that knows his style and how to pick fun topics the first will want to talk about while they suffer from the heat. It's an extremely effective formula that they're able to put to great effect over and over. No amount of clever editing can make a boring interview as entertaining as pretty much every episode of Hot Ones.

Damon explained why movies are what they are now clearer and in fewer words than anyone else I've heard. Seems like a great guy. I also like how he says he has to do it because Burr did. Guests doing it because other friends have like a challenge makes for a great show

I don’t know how accurate it is though. Sure, if you’re gonna cut a check for a Damon level celebrity it’s gotta be a big blockbuster, but there is a huge amount of room on the streaming platforms for less big name actors to play more intimate roles.

It unfortunately does not matter if streaming services absolutely have the capital to fund a $10 million or less indie project that might be amazing, because those movies aren't going to pull people to your site, or at least not enough people to make a difference in the revenue stream. Big, "amusement park" (Scorsese's words), blockbuster movies like Marvel, or insane sequels/remakes/casted films like the Irishman or Top Gun 2 will bring those people in, so why even bother spending the millions of $ in the first place? (I am very aware that TG2 was not a streaming movie in the slightest, but just as an example of a major draw)

I guess I'm old school but I would rather own my favorite well made movies in DVD and Blu-ray than have 10 subscriptions to a bunch of different services... My movie collection keeps growing for cheap because people think it's old technology... this was a great episode.

One of the best things about this show is how it really humanizes celebrities. In which I mean it really lets us see what they are really like outside of their profession, it's great. Matt Damon seems like a nice guy, humble and very passionate about what he does.

Yeah it was surprisingly good, they made us watch it in history class back in high school

I really enjoyed him talking about the changing film industry, and explained it so well. It's so good.

Class act.. Always humbled by Matt.

This show could singlehandedly take the place of the well known American talk shows, whether they are aired during the day or night. Sean has the best questions that I've ever heard come from an interviewer. He always surprises his guests with his questions and that always pleases me. Keep 'em comin!

The throat burning humour aside. You really ask pertinent questions and your style of interview is excellent. I really enjoy your interviews. Matt is the most Australian American in the industry. He’s an honorary Aussie.
