Those tacos alone are worth a trip south. So incredible. First one I had was in San Diego - the next one was in Ensenada. Truly one memorable bite. 🌮🐟🌮

Growing up in San Diego, as a kid in the early 60's, we used to go to Ensenada and Rosorita Beach. This is where I first had amazing fish tacos. That salsa looks amazing. Thank you for sharing the traditional recipes. I don't eat pork anymore so I use homemade beef tallow in my tortillas.

OMG, these look amazing! Not everyone knows how to make a fish taco.....these look heavenly. Can't wait to try them!

One of my friends--an LA lady of Mexican descent herself--introduced me to this Salsa Macha. OMG. Just made some last night and writing a blog post on it. On her advice, I used a whole cup of raw peanuts. Thank you--I have become enlightened. ;)

👍 I had some from a food truck just outside of a bar in Ensenada and they were amazing. I surfed Onofre too, but there were no decent fish tacos there. Now the only surfing I do, here in Minnesota, involves a TV remote. 😒

Patti, you did justice to those Baja Fish Tacos! I had that very salsa in Yucatán last month & it was divine! You are a true master chef! You do it the right way--with lard in your tortillas. Sometimes I use bacon fat which gives the tortillas a smokey flavor. ¡Gracias...Provecho...Bendiciones y Besitos! Liz in N.C.

While visiting Ensenada as a young girl, my fondest memory was their fish tacos. So delicious. We recently visited L.A. and enjoyed fabulous fish tacos their too. I wanted to try and make them myself and I found your recipe. I tried the recipe for my family and it was a hit. The fish was so crunch and tasty. Thank you for sharing a great recipe.

Love Fish Tacos ... Looks delicious. It’s interesting that you mentioned the rules of flour vs corn tortillas. I have never eaten a Fish Taco on a flour tortilla. Like I said “Looks Delicious” Must try the fresh flour tortilla. Thank You for ALL your WONDERFUL VIDEOS... HaPpY Cooking Everyone . 🌮🥙🌮🥙🍴🥃 and the Tequila .... yum.... BTW .... Hola, hola!!! I just want to thank you for this wonderful, tasty and delicious recipe. Two of my kids dont eat fish and they tried this tacos and loved them. The combination of everything is just yum! Loved it!!!

The fish prep starts at 6:28 and it's super easy. It looks great, I think she has something special here.

I love your recipes! I'm Mexican American and know the basic recipes but there are things my mother didn't teach me but I disagree with eating tacos with only corn tortillas my parents are from the north of Mexico basically the border and we ate everything with flour tortillas including tacos and still do but I love corn tortillas also although my family does not they act like corn tortillas are forbidden for northern Mexicans lol

Absolutely! Flour tortillas are great and delicious, I just do not recommend them for making tacos dorados or enchiladas ;)

I only like flour tortillas in a quesadilla. Is is sacreligious to have fish tacos with corn tortillas¿? I used to live in Michoacán, and corn tortilla was king.

Hi it’s Danny from Toronto I used Ancho chiles chipotle chiles and Padilla chiles for the salsa for the fish tortillas that’s all I could find at the store is this Ok

and fish tacos, they sh 'ould never be eaten with flour tortillas, im from sonora and we dont use flour tortillas for either fish ir shrimp tacos

Flour tortillas aren’t meant for fish tacos, at least not in the traditional world
